they’re probably 27-28 yrs old
adrien grown up to hate humanity, estranged from his father and his mom in a serious illness that she has been in the hospital for long. he doesn’t have any job but does have alot of savings stocked (mostly from his father)
marinette keeps on getting rejections from job interviews and wants to give up, she’s in paris living in an apartment while her family is somewhere in france (not yet familiar w places in france, but let’s assume something rural), she’s ckose to giving up whilst her parents, despite far away, r the only ones who remains a positive feedback to her
alya knocks on marinette’s apartment’s door. even tho mari doesn’t know her she invites her in anyways for tea or probably coffee, maybe some croissants too
alya just goes on and says that she’s from the support division from this one company called relife, mari seems to hesistate but continues to cooperate
meanwhile, nino just barged into adrien’s and was like “SUP BRO I HAVEN’T SEEN U IN YEARS” in a very boisterous voice while adrien’s all like “who r u do i know u”
adrien was against the idea but nino kept the pill at his and left, meanwhile marinette hesitatingly takes the pill but keeps it later on
in the end, with a spur both takes their pills
and YIKEROO when they both wake up the next morning, they see the 17-18 year old self of them in the mirror, screaming in agony
adrien seems to be really confused not remembering anything he done yesterday when nino left while marinette remained calm and actually remembered taking her pill
alya and nino came back to their respective apartments, giving them books and other kahookee (since the school they’re probably going to doesn’t require any uniform and their clothes seem to fit well by the power of MAGIC) (however, they also brought in clothes appropriate their age just in case)
adrien regrets his decision
the two from the support division will also change back to their 17-18 selfs to report on abt their subjects (but they didn’t tell them just to SHOOK em)
adrien is subject 001 while mari should be 002
adrien seems sleep drunk so when he gets to the classroom he sits randomly, then mari just goes up to him and tells him “i’m sorry to bother but that is my seat” in a polite way, mentioning there’s a seat plan given
blonde boy seems flustered and rushed on his apology, going back to check the seat plan and finally sitting on the seat he was supposed to sit at
I COULD ACTUALLY WRITE THE WHOLE STORY RIGHT HERE BUT IT’S 11:50 PM
yes this was based off the webmanga/anime called relife (it’s a good read/watch and made me cry go search for it pls) and it was a godsend,,,,,
