I don't need you to sit at my mom's bedside and tell her stories and feed her food and wash her feet and lotion her toes. I am more than willing to do that. She's my mom.

But I need you to be nice, be patient and do your job as a nurse. I'm all about collaboration. I don't feel entitled for my mom for the care that we receive. It could be really fun and cool and non-burdensome if you are simply respectful to me and my mom. is that too much to ask?

I’ve received “encouragements” along the lines of this for a long time after life was the way that it is and i dont ever know how to respond cuz in away im like “yas u go girl u r resilient” but on the other hand im like “i didnt choose these circumstances and i have no choice but to hang in there and deal with it in the best of my ability?” idk dealing with people who dont know what to say to others who are struggling in hardhardhard seasons was expected but sometimes i literally just wanna scream (not at them but just scream and cry)
