In the past week, fuel prices were increased every day. The government claims that this is unavoidable due to the Ukraine crisis but the truth is that we import only about 0.5% of oil from Russia. In fact, since the time the BJP came to power, the government earned a whopping ₹26 lakh crore by steadily increasing excise duty on petrol and diesel. The BJP did not pass on the benefits to citizens when the prices of international crude oil fell. In May 2014 when UPA left office and BJP came to power, the cost of the Indian basket of crude oil stood at $113 per barrel. However, within six months, the crude oil price fell to $50 per barrel and to $29 in January 2016—Why did the BJP government not reduce the prices then? In contrast, when the Congress-led UPA was in power it gave ₹10 lakh crore as subsidy to bring down prices. The increase in fuel and gas prices will have a cascading effect, which will lead to higher inflation and severely weaken the economy. Yet, the BJP government is unconcerned and insensitive to the plight of Indians and India’s welfare. The Congress party which has always stood by the people is launching a series of protests at various levels... We must all take part in it actively so that pressure is put on the BJP government. (World's largest Constitution ): Let us inform that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had prepared the constitution in two years, 11 months and 18 days and dedicated it to the nation. The Constitution of India is the largest in the world. It consists of 448 articles, 12 schedules and 94 amendments. The Constitution of India is a handwritten one. It has 48 articles. (Constitution Day on 26 November): It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and was implemented with a democratic government system on 26 November 1950. Constitution Day is celebrated to remember the contribution of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and to spread the importance of the Constitution. Constitution Day was celebrated for the first time in 2015 by the Government of India. On 29 August 1947, the drafting committee of the Constitution of India was established, in which Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was appointed as the chairman. Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad etc. were the prominent members of this assembly.
