Hi Mary! What would you do if Bert ever proposed?
WHY in the WORLD would he do that? This is simply ridiculous!
Mary Poppins. What happened when you first met darling Bert?
WELL. It was on a cold day. I was outside, looking for a place to warm my hands when suddenly I saw a man, Bert, making hot chestnuts by a small fire. I walked over there and bought some and we just started...talking.
"Mary, I don’ know where ta go! London has so many grea’ places, I can’ pick just one!"
"Well then! If you can’t make a choice, I will." She nods. "How about….a rooftop? How does that sound?" She smiles at him.
"Tha’ sounds just lovely." He replies. He offers his arm to her. "Shall we?"
She smiles at him and links arms with him.
What is the most romantic gesture that Bert has done for you?
Romantic? Dear anon, I'm afraid you're a bit delusional. Bert and are in no way romantically involved, thank you very much.
"Mary, I don' know where ta go! London has so many grea' places, I can' pick just one!"
"Well then! If you can't make a choice, I will." She nods. "How about....a rooftop? How does that sound?" She smiles at him.
"Oh." He blinks "Well, I apologize for callin’ you silly, Mary. But, I’m sorry that you feel you don’ have a place ta call ‘ome."
"Oh, it’s all right. It was my own choice, after all. I knew when I became a nanny that I’d never be able to settle, ever."
“‘S kind o’ a sad thought though.” He says.
"Bert, it’s all right, really. You don’t need to worry about me. I’m perfectly happy." She nodded.
"Well, as long as you’re happy, Mary." Bert sighs, but smiles.
"Indeed I am. Now, enough sentiment for today, how about an outing? I have a bit of time before I go to my new charges."
"That’s a grand idea, but where should we go?" He asks with a smile.
"The choice is up to you!'
"Oh." He blinks "Well, I apologize for callin’ you silly, Mary. But, I’m sorry that you feel you don’ have a place ta call ‘ome."

Mary Poppins, how is Andrew doing? Have you seen anything of him as of recently?
Well, I only just arrived in London so I can't really know... But I'm sure I'll run into him soon.
"Oh." He blinks "Well, I apologize for callin’ you silly, Mary. But, I’m sorry that you feel you don’ have a place ta call ‘ome."

Bert noticed a sudden change in the weather. “Hmm, winds from the East and mist comin’ in? This change in weather could only mean one thin’” He says, smiling to himself.
Mary smiled to…
"I’ve been fine, but ‘s been kind o’ lonely ‘ere without you." He replies " ‘Ow ‘ave you been?"
"Oh, I’m sure you found something to keep you entertained. I’ve been wonderful. I’ve been to many wonderful places. I wish you could have been there with me!" She smiled.
He chuckles. “Yes, I’ve been keepin’ myself entertained, but it still isn’t th’ same.” He replies “I wish I coulda been there to, where did you go?”
"I see. Well…" She paused for a second and thought. "I’ve been to California, Austria, Belgium, … and so on. But I liked Austria the most. The mountains were beautiful there." She smiled to herself as she remembered them.
"Were they? I wouldn’ know, never been to Austria." He says, trying to picture the mountains.
"Oh, yes! If you’re all alone up there, it’s really quiet and peaceful. I just love it. It’s so different from London."
"Yes, but London is a nice place itself, am I right?" He asks "I mean, London is my ‘ome, no matter ‘ow bad some parts of it are."
Yes, of course! They’re both wonderful in their own way! I’m glad to call London my home as well. Well, sort of. I was born here, you know that.” She said. “I don’t really have a home…”
"Don’t be silly, of course you ‘ave a ‘ome. You might not think you ‘ave one, because you’re always ‘ere and there, but ‘ome is where the ‘eart is." He explains.
"I'm NOT being silly, thank you very much. I was just saying that I don't really have place I can call home. Like, my own house. But I suppose you're right."

Mary smiled to herself as she floated over her favourite river, the Thames. She was glad to be in London again. She hadn’t seen her best friend in over a year and hoped to run into him soon. It didn’t take long before her feet hit the ground. She closed her umbrella and sighed happily.
"Well, if it isn’t Mary Poppins!" Bert said happily, walking over to her “‘S been a long time since I las’ saw you." He smiles brightly.
Mary jumped a little. "Bert, goodness, you scared me!" As soon as they stood face to face, she smiled softly. "But it is wonderful to see you again, Bert. How have you been?" She let her hands rest on her umbrella's parrot handle and studied him.
