hello everyone,

this is not a message we ever ever wanted to write, but unfortunately we have to close down praeditushq. this has been such an amazing, wonderful, fulfilling space to write over the past three months, and we cannot express how much love we have developed for our members. ultimately, for reasons out of our control we are not able to continue with the group at this time. we want to give a very sincere apology to anyone who has been working on an app for our group, we know how awful it can be to have a group close down when you’ve been pouring your heart into an application. we want to make it clear how sorry we are about this situation, and if you want to reach out and speak with us at all we are absolutely here for that. thank you to everyone again for everything.

bindweed’s  skeleton  identifies  them  as  an  artist,  so  it  could  be  interesting  to  delve  into  the  roots  of  this.  write  a  sample  about  the  most  recent  art  piece  that  they  produced  and  what  its  themes  were.  who  are  the  common  subjects  of  bindweed’s  art?  when  and  where  do  they  tend  to  create  this  art?  do  they  make  art  to  remember,  or  to  forget?  

their  friendship  with  saxifrage  is  kind  of  absurd  –  someone  wealthy  hanging  out  with  someone  poor  for  the  sake  of  their  Art™,  amongst  other  things.  maybe  you  could  write  about  what  a  typical  outing  to  a  dive  bar  or  a  humble  grocery  store  would  look  like.  what  does  bindweed  think  about  how  the  other  half  lives?  if  you  want  to  test  out  a  bit  of  bindweed’s  dialogue,  you  could  include  a  conversation  that  bindweed  might  have  with  a  nascondiglio  native.

bindweed  and  asphodel  both  share  a  common  tragedy  in  the  form  of  their  older  brother’s  death.  either  write  a  sample  exploring  bindweed’s  reaction  immediately  following  the  death  or  a  sample  closer  to  the  present-day,  perhaps  on  the  anniversary  of  the  older  brother’s  death.  how  does  bindweed  cope  with  this  tragedy?  do  they  have  any  memories  of  their  deceased  older  brother  that  they  tend  to  replay?

bindweed  and  oleander’s  relationship  was  intense  while  it  lasted  and  tragic  when  it  ended.  a  sample  that  explores  any  aspect  of  this  dynamic  would  be  fascinating.  did  bindweed  know  all  along  that  oleander  would  devastate  them,  or  did  it  come  by  surprise?  what  was  bindweed’s  immediate  reaction  when  they  found  out  about  the  cheating?  how  does  bindweed  cope  with  the  complicated  feelings  they  have  for  oleander  now?  

with  aesthetics  like  “red  wine  spilled  on  soft  white  linen”  and  “night  drives  without  a  destination”,  bindweed  comes  off  as  a  bit  of  a  free  spirit.  write  about  a  typical  weekend  night  for  bindweed  –  what  are  they  doing?  who  are  they  doing  it  with?  how  late  into  the  night  are  they  staying  out,  and  how  much  of  the  night  do  they  remember  the  next  day?

what do you think is most important to get/hit on with the bindweed character, especially for someone coming into the group a little later?

i  think  for  bindweed  we  love  seeing  their  artistic  side  shine  through,  as  well  as  their  slightly  more  free  spirited  sensibility  and  relationship  to  wealth  ( this  aspect  is  especially  present  in  their  connection  to  saxifrage  but  we  think  it's  super  interesting  to  explore  how  it  is/isn't  expressed  in  other  parts  of  their  life  as  well ! ).  i  would  say  the  biggest  thing  we're  looking  for  in  apps  is  characterization  !  so  for  bindweed  we  definitely  think  a  great  place  to  start  is  by  thinking  about  what  makes  their  skeleton  unique  from  the  others  and  building  from  there,  we  love  love  love  seeing  the  unique  characterization  everyone  brings  to  their  muses  and  think  that  it  brings  so  much  life  and  depth  to  the  characters.  we  also  are  always  happy  to  provide  you  with  some  prompts  if  you  think  that  would  be  helpful  in  writing  your  app  at  all  !
