He flinches at her touch. âEight years.â
Not backing away, fingers now curling around his arm and giving a light squeeze. âI know, Levi. I know.â
ohcaptainackerman:
âI donât know, Petra. I donât even know any more.âÂ
âLevi...â expression softening as she moved closer, fingers gently touching his arm. âWeâll figure it out, itâll be okay.â
ohcaptainackerman:
âMeeting them both was by accident. Farlan spilled coffee on my uniform. Isabel was at my mothers home.â
âI see.â she shuffles a little, unsure of how to approach the topic. âThere has to be some explanation for all of this, though.â
ohcaptainackerman:
âNo. Itâs not at least theyâre alive. Eight years, Petra. My life revolved around the fact that I got my friends killed. And now theyâre magically alive. Thatâs not how the world works.âÂ
âI donât know what you expect me to say, iâve had to deal with anything like this before. I see people die but I never see them come back to life...How did you find them?â
ohcaptainackerman:
âPetra,â Leviâs eyes narrowed. âThis isnât another stress thing. Iâm notâŠIâm not hallucinating them. Theyâre back. Theyâre alive. Theyâre back in town.âÂ
âAnd I thought theyâve been dead for eight years.â
âI wasnât implying that you were hallucinating, I just wanted to know if this was recent or you had just been putting off telling me.â
âI canât imagine you took that well but...at least theyâre alive, right? And there has to be a good reason for them not to have contacted you...â
ohcaptainackerman:
âMy dead friends.âÂ
âSo iâm guessing you mean friends who you previously thought to be dead. How long have you been seeing them around?â
ohcaptainackerman:
âTheyâre popping up like fucking daisies.âÂ
âWho are?â
Eren & Petra - To be a Soldier
jjaegerr:
With a slip away of a shirt and a solid expression of determination and preparation, Eren began to exercise, at first beginning with some stretches so that he doesnât pull any muscles in his body. Being in the Military had its ups and downs but this was all for the passion for revenge and the determination to protect those close to him.Â
A lot had happened to Eren to let it all happen again so there was only one way to battle it, and that was to join the Military. The old folks that had raised Eren were a bit hesitant to let him go but they soon realised that Eren wasnât that scared and frightened little boy that they had found that one night. He was an adult, a solider.Â
Once finished with his stretches, Eren got down onto the ground and began to do press ups, panting as he went along. He had to stay in shape. He couldnât let something slip, it could easily do a number on him and he was sure to get an earful from his seniorsâŠÂ
Headquarters was more of a home these days; what with the increase in work it was becoming more difficult to spend time at what was actually home. At least there was everything the soldiers could need, from offices to bathrooms and showers, to a mess hall and break rooms, and even their own spaces to train should they want to use the equipment on the grounds.
Petra was halfway through her own workout, but had strayed to refill her water bottle, leaving her to notice a door slightly ajar on her way back. Slowing her pace she could manage to see inside, hearing pants and strains that sounded familiar in a place like this. Gaze quickly landing on the source and seeing Eren on the floor. Eren was a good person, and someone she tried to keep Levi away from so he didnât go to hard on him. Even soldiers need a break.
âHey Eren.â
Finally pushing the door open a little more, peeking around it with a small smile. Maybe she could join him, make working out a little more enjoyable and a chance to let off some steam. She liked his company so it made sense. Plus Levi was busy, as usual, so wouldnât come hunting the poor boy down and give him an earful.Â
âGot room for one more?â

arlertarmim:
He found it. He didnât know how long it had taken, but he had finally found one of the rare herbs in the area. Scratching down notes into his notepad, he began to write down his findings. It seemed to fit the descriptions that Armin had read, but it seemed much smaller than what was recorded. Could this perhaps be a sprout? He laid down his notepad and pencil to get a closer look, delicately moving the leaves on the tiny plant around.
It was so fragile to the touch, and the leaves were covered in what could be described as a light layer of âfluffâ. Interesting. He scribbled that down too, and sketched a quick drawing of the plant.Â
Obviously, he was too preoccupied in his observation to notice the young woman coming up behind him.
Thatâs also why he nearly jumped out of his skin at her voice.
He whipped around, blonde hair falling easily back into place. âOh, oh! Iâm fine, Iâm just observing this plant,â he replied, taking a deep breath to calm himself down. âI didnât mean to worry you, maâam.â
Immediately hit with a pang of guilt as the boy nearly jumped out of his skin upon hearing her voice. Though he seemed to calm himself down as he offered an explanation to what he was doing. But that wasnât the most surprising thing, for she hadnât expected manners. The respect she was given at work was because of position in an elite squad, away from that she was just some woman and teenagers could be so rude. So it did take her somewhat by surprise to hear one being polite.
âOh, no, iâm sorry for scaring you! I just wanted to make sure you were okay, you donât see people crouched down to the ground very often so I was just checking.â
Holding the paper bag and shifting it once more as she caught a glimpse of a notebook, open to a page with writing and what Petra assumed to be diagrams. He really was observing the plants. Not that it was something to lie about of course, but it was just unusual. Still, the soldier was one who enjoyed listening to people talk about their interests and she would read various research in her free time, when she had any.
âFind anything interesting? Iâve never really stopped to look closely at the plants here.â
The Gym (Petra + Haruka)
freestyled-dolphin:
He easily caught the towel, and slung it over his shoulder. Honestly, he had assumed this wouldâve taken longer. Good thing that she seems to trust him in that regard. He really didnât have the money to buy another towel, with the measly college funds he was living on. It was practically a blessing that someone this nice had found it for him.
It meant a quicker trip back to the pool.
âYeah, I dropped it, thanks for finding it,â he replied, eager to get back to swimming. However, his conscience wouldnât let him escape that easily. Dammit. âIâm Haruka Nanase, but just call me Haru.â His usual blunt way of speaking shone through, showing his âcharmâ off.
Not that he cared, he only needed his friends and family to understand his speech. Otherwise, it really didnât matter. He was who he was, and that probably wasnât going to change anytime soon.
The other seemed rather blunt, but it was a personality trait she was more than used to by this point. So, she remained unphased and offered him a smile in return as she reached his side. She had to get changed into her swimsuit before heading to her destination but she could at least chat a little.
âNice to meet you, Haru. Iâm Petra Ral. I donât think iâve seen you here before.â
Petra would call herself a regular now, though she hadnât managed to go to the gym for a while due to the mass of work she had. Sometimes it was just nice to train outside of headquarters and be social with other people. But it wasnât that unlikely that she wouldnât have seen him in passing at some point, yet there she was, with an unfamiliar face.
Petra&Armin
Now, Petra had seen a lot in her life time. Some of it good, some of it bad, and some just down right weird. Yet she didnât quite have anything to compare to the sight of a teenager crouched down on the ground and closely inspecting a plant. A plant, which to her, looked just like every other plant in the area. Granted that everyone had their own interests but this seemed completely out of place with how most of the other teens here acted. So, naturally, part of her wanted to find out what he was doing and to make sure he was safe. Maybe it was those maternal instincts of hers.
âHey, are you alright? Did you lose something?â
Because honestly she had no idea what he was doing and he could have been trying to find something. What, she didnât really know, but he certainly held the expression of someone who was trying to find or discover something.
Shifting the paper bag of groceries in her arms, most of it more cleaning supplies, tea, and coffee, whilst trying to offer him a friendly smile. Whenever she saw someone on their own during her errands she would often try to greet them, just in case. If being out on the battlefield taught her anything then one lesson would certainly be that anyone could be in trouble no matter how calm they looked. And she wouldnât want someone younger to be left helpless, she had seen hurt children far too much.
The Gym (Petra + Haruka)

Haruka was a regular at the local gym. Not surprising, considering his personality and interests. Considering that, it wasnât a surprise that he was heading out to the gym that day. He had his swimsuit under his clothes, as usual, so he just slung a towel over his shoulder and headed out. It took about twenty minutes to get there at Harukaâs brisk pace, and by the time he got there he was itching to get into the pool.
And in his haste, he dropped his towel.
He didnât even notice until he was stripped down to his swimsuit in the locker room. With a sigh of frustration, Haruka, reluctantly, got dress and headed back out to the lobby to fetch his lost object. Apparently though, someone had already found it. So he approached the stranger, aiming to get his towel back and get back to swimming.
âHey, you found my towel.â
Being in the military meant maintaining a peak physical condition, and that was no exception for Petra. Although she was of a shorter stature than most and with an almost angelic presence, the spitfire of a soldier could easily take down grown men in one fell swoop. So, heading to the gym was part of her routine, and something she did whenever there was time.
Today was going a little differently though, having spotted a towel by the door. It was fresh and dry so her first assumption was that it must have fell out of someoneâs bag. It was just a simple towel but no doubt there had to be someone looking for it, making the reception desk her first port of call. But the owner of the item question seemed to catch her before she had the chance to hand it in.
âOh, itâs yours? I just found it by the door...â
Turning the towel over in her hand she looked from the item to the young man who had claimed it. There was no need to make a fuss over it, and he seemed genuine enough in his claim. Making it easy for Petra to lightly toss it to him as she walked over, adjusting her own bag as she did so.
âWell iâm glad I found its owner.â

âAha, perfect! Okay, just a fair warning, however. I havenât had to use fisticuffs in a while. But that doesnât mean you have to go easy on me. Give me all you got!â
âDo you mind if I go change first? I donât feel like getting my uniform all sweatyâŠâ her gym gear would be far better suited to such a thing.
Goodbye sweet scarf angel, squad parents will miss you </3

âThatâs right, come to FarlanâŠâ  Clearing his throat, âAnyways~ You arenâtâŠfeeling stressed right now, are you?â
âNot particularlyâŠâ pausing for a moment, having a thought before she continued ââŠbut I had to miss my scheduled workout the other day, so if you feel like sparring I can always pick up my gym gear.â
astrauus
âWell! If thatâs the case, then if you ever need to release any type of stress, just come to me! Iâll be your personal punching bag.â Â
âWith how stressful work is, having someone to spar with would actually be pretty nice. I think iâll take you up on that offer!â
