It didn’t take much to determine something was very off about the young man. At least, she assumed he was young. He didn’t look much older than her but she knew looks could be deceiving. But that wasn’t what was throwing her off. He seemed, fake somehow. Like he shouldn’t really be. He was off. Like she was off. There was just something about him.

How to get away with murder AKA let’s silence that witness that threatens to expose that other world on Earth. Sure, a number of civilizations have already come out, but with how the normal population is tolerating what they’ve already seen - his world isn’t that keen on letting everyone know about one that technically controls most of everything. 

Now, he just needs to clean up the apartment and set up a scene. Isn’t the first time he’d done it. He’s just hoping the guy hadn’t reached out to anyone about what he’s seen.

No one would commend his skills in espionage. He’s not a spy, much less a proper detective. He’s not even sure why his self-proclaimed omniscient ( they’re not ) employers need things looked into - apparently, homicide investigation was now part of his job description - he still fails to look it. 

He finds himself following a lead that has him sat in the heart of the town center surrounded by stores and cafes, trying to look as uninterested in anything as possible - one thing he can actually do pretty well - quietly paying attention to everyone ( a particular one really. )
