Why have eren stans shifted from full blown jeagerists to Eren apologists? Like, now that the jeagerists have crawled up in their gates we have to hear about how “Eren deserved so much better”, “ He’s not a murderer he did everything for his friends”. First of all there are lines that when you cross them, intentions don’t matter anymore. Killing people in battle or torturing someone for a cause and committing mass genocide are not the same thing. No fate was predetermined because first of all then we’d have a shell of a character that just doesn’t make a single decision in the last arc and secondly, Eren himself said that he saw the result of Mikasa killing him and kinda did everything for it to happen. He also said that he wanted to flatten the world anyway and that he didn’t even know if his friends would make it out alive. So even if putting your favorite people above from the whole world is incredibly selfish, the fact that this isn’t even your sole reason but you also want to create distraction for revenge makes his selfishness and his ego 10 times bigger. You can love a character even if they are a complete villain, (my fav got character is little finger who is an awful person and my fav huh character is hisoka) but being able to acknowledge and understand their crimes is an important aspect of it. Sometimes I’m sure the snk fandom just doesn’t comprehend the majority of the manga and then just goes with it spouting theories and opinions and slandering Isayama like they know the story better than him.

I swear some shippers are insufferable in this fandom. Some person went around TikTok tagging me on a certain ship’s videos to convince me that it’s canon or something when all I saw was edited official art and some weird speculations. Also another tried to convince me that two people are canon because apparently they call each other “my midnight sun” from a song that’s not even about them. There are no canon Levi ships and people from every side of this fandom should finally accept that. Even if I like LH and think that some parallels or scenes hint to romantic feelings, I would never go around preaching like the ship is canon and Isayama told me himself. It’s not. Parallels don’t make canon, songs don’t make canon. The only things that make a ship canon is proof from the source material or the author directly confirming it. Please, these ship wars have gotten so annoying.

Why does the aot fandom think Mikasa couldn’t fall in love with anyone after Eren or that everyone else will always be second choice to Eren? Like, I’m sorry but this feels very much like reducing Mikasa to just an Eren loving machine and nothing more. People fall in love many times in their lives and personally because I like Mikasa I would hope she falls in love with someone else in the future and finally having a happy family, which is what she always wanted.

Also in addition to this post. I think after the last two chapters people misread their relationship a lot while before there wasn’t this problem really. A big reason for why Eren and Mikasa are so important to one another is because after both their parents died they were the only family each other had. Eren and Mikasa are first and foremost family and then a couple and while they loved each other romantically the reason why Mikasa will probably always remember and cherish Eren despite what he did or who she marries is because he was her family not some crush that she can’t get over. (I said family too many times)

Not an unpopular opinion, but I am writing a Levi fanfic, can you give me some tips for writing Levi, or anything that might help?

Read the manga while you are writing. Especially in the uprising arc, you can see Levi's character very clearly. Also I don't know why most fanfics portray him all confident and dominant ( or abusive ). Isayama has said he gets really shy and clumsy when he likes someone. Generally just remember he's not some confident cool dude all the time and he can be awkward and funny and all that stuff. That's about it I think... also he doesn't go around beating people up. He loves his comrades dearly on the inside. Especially if you write Levi's pov as well, I think he has that very emotional side that he hides that should be portrayed.
