I told that motherfucker we were done. I told him! He said he talked to you. He said it's triple-rate for every can. Triple?
The fuck you ain't wake me up for? Just getting up now, fuckface? No, actually. Your mom makes a pretty good breakfast. No fuckin' way. Bacon and eggs, baby!
Eton, huh? That’s from the Greek, meaning what? No Greek. Israeli. Oh. Yeah? ‘Cause you look Greek, no offense. Either way, I mean.
Yeah, bosses want another car patrolling the chemical plants. Because of terrorism, I guess. You're too pretty for the Fairfield piers, darlin'. You need to be uptown here with us.

Do me a favor. Go down Clement Street tonight, give this to Dolores, tell her you need a beer and a shot on me. Frank, I— Just do that much. You have a round on me, you go home. You wanna come in tomorrow, tell me you're going with 47, I'm with you on it. Thanks.

i genuinely feel far better after two days of driving and setting up and talking to strangers in the heat and tearing down and driving home. i didnt really even LET guy do most of the work.
on day 1 i felt bad, as i know i’m leaving and i wondered if he’d really be ok without me.
on day 2 i asked if i could have the table (he bought one for the occasion because our roommate’s table we were supposed to borrow was not in the garage fsr). he also told me he plans to never do an event outdoors again. so i feel a bit better.
if i’m no longer spending so much time at someone else’s job, i’d like to do more craft fair type shit. having my own table for the purpose seems like an ok deal. guy and other roommate can coordinate better, or guy can maybe get his job to buy one if he’s not doing it last minute.
i’ll probably have to leave something behind to make room for my new folding table in my car, but a folding table is multipurpose and collapsible, two of the best things anything can be. i might have to choose between desk and table. and table might win, despite the nostalgia factor of my oldest piece of furniture. with everything ive given away or traded or thrown out or replaced over the years, it might be the last original furniture from the load i brought with me in 2020.
it’s been really difficult lately to talk at events aimed at the disability community and i thought maybe i had become extremely shy, but i’m realizing it’s hard for me to come up with my own spiels for something i might know less about than the person im talking to. and i really shouldnt have to come up with them but guy cant seem to relate to me what we’re meant to be focusing on these days. what do you mean you don’t know what to talk about? it’s your job!
i also liked that it was so hot guy didnt even pretend to be working half the time. he just went inside an air conditioned building for like an hour at a time. so i got to read a lot when ir was slower.
i also liked that we got to know our stall neighbor over the two days.
HOST: To someone who isn’t as well-versed in The Wire, who has maybe seen a few scenes, it may appear that Nicky is [Frank’s] son, […] that Nicky’s the workhorse. You know that you can give him a task to do and he’ll get it done, and therefore he’s perfect for that role. Ziggy’s the more wayward one. […] He maybe doesn’t belong. He’s very smart. He doesn’t belong in that role, in that place, and if he’d been given a different opportunity, [if] his antics would’ve been placed in a college, for example, he’d be the smart one who also does the practical jokes. BAUER: Yeah. Like, he should be an artist.
