Galadrielle sat, mostly hidden in a corner, reading quietly and enjoying the scent of books surrounding her. Half of her long ebony mane hid most of her visage, while the other cascaded down her back, slipping through the bars of the wooden armchair she sat in. She felt another coming behind, yet did not acknowledge them for if they wished to converse, they would have to come forth and interrupt her.
Thaddeus could detect the familiar scent before he even saw her face. Of the people in Covaire, he found Galadrielle to be one of the most tolerable -- even the most enjoyable to be around. He always preferred polite company, and after a long day's work of helping people realize that their problems stemmed from defense mechanisms and an inability to play nicely with others, being around someone like her was almost a vacation. He'd come here for the books, but he didn't mind staying for the conversation.
He took a seat opposite of her, folding one leg neatly over the other. "So, on top of work and hunting, you also enjoy reading," he said. "I'm beginning to wonder if you do anything in poor taste." She didn't seem the type. And that, perhaps, was the best thing about her.
