Not being loved by you is waking up to the same gray sky, day after day, not bothering to brush my hair/ not wanting to live in this body because this is the body that wasn’t good enough/ this is the heart that beat too hard/ these are the hands that could never hold you properly. Not being loved by you means I no longer love me/ means I doubt if I ever did/ means I can’t bring myself to say your name without closing my eyes and wishing I was someone else and wishing that someone was yours/ forgive me for still wishing I was yours. Lord knows I can’t forgive myself.
