does someone want to explain brocedes lore to me?
✨BROCEDES lore in a nutshell✨ (correct me if i get something wrong please)
Childhood
Nico and Lewis met in karting, became best friends. So close to the extent that Nico invited Lewis to go with his family on a trip to Greece! Nico’s family also paid for some of Lewis’ racing expenses to support his financial situation. Their karting boss even talked about their closeness. It was crazy, as if they were soulmates.
Racing in F1
They both made it to F1 with different teams and different conditions. They were still very close, and even celebrated so much in the cooldown room when they shared their first podium! Spent a lot of time together even with the crazy F1 schedule.
The Silver War
In 2013, Lewis took Michael Schumacher’s seat in Mercedes, which made him team mates with Nico. Then, with the shift of engine eras, their car delivered very well in 2014. Lewis and Nico’s competitiveness fractured their friendship as they started fighting for the championship, and amongst themselves. Lewis declared that he and Nico weren’t friends on public television. Nico even started visiting a therapist from the mental pressure he was in. Eventually, Lewis won both the 2014 and 2015 WDCs. After the “Brocedes Divorce” in Barcelona 2016 (they took each other out), the tensions rose even further, but Nico ultimately won the 2016 championship. He then announced his retirement from F1 racing. (He even said that he more relieved than happy with winning.)
Aftermath
There was a time where Lewis avoided Nico like the plague, but I think it’s subsided. Lewis buys presents for Nico’s kids every Christmas. Even in Sky Sports interviews, Nico still stares at Lewis as if he hung the moon and stars. He follows Lewis on social media, which Lewis doesn’t reciprocate.
In 2021, Crofty said “This man [Nico] knows Lewis Hamilton. Friend, team mate, childhood buddy, rival; everything but a lover.” Chills! Right before AD21, Lewis was asked if he was better now than 2016. “Yes, and team mate.” Nico was watching that, and we saw his live shocked expression.
Conclusion
To this day, we still get some crumbs, which is alright. We still yearn for the doomed yaoi narrative those two went through, and I believe nothing can match the level of depth and history those two have between each other. This turned from a summary to a full report, so yeah. Do as you may with this HAHAHA
