Timeline

[2012.12.17] Thomas Torrey emails Justin Moretto with ideas about a scifi film story that would become PREMISE. An ongoing email discussion follows for the next six months.

[2013.07.03] Thomas, Justin and producing partner Michelle Wheeler move forward with outside producers to finance PREMISE for a 2014 production. 

[2013.09.03] Thomas and Justin take their opening twelve pages of script and dozens of pages of notes and outline cards to the mountains for a Writer's Retreat weekend. After two-and-a-half days off the grid they come back with a complete story outline and 60 scripted pages. 

[2013.09.30] Draft 1 of PREMISE is completed.  [2014.01.29] Draft 2 of PREMISE is completed. [2014.02.01] Thomas, Justin and Michelle part ways with outside producers over ownership issues and determine to self-produce and raise funds themselves.  [2014.07.20] Draft 3 of PREMISE is completed.

[2014.07.23] PREMISE finishes in the Top 15% of all screenplays for the 2014 Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences Nicholl Fellowship.  [2014.09.10] Draft 3.1 of PREMISE is completed, shown to potential investors.
