i made these as an exercise in creating album/single artwork - they were never used for anything but i'm still fond of them!

in my time away from tumblr i've been working on a medical laboratory science degree. sometimes i look at the paintings i've done recently and go Ah yes I suppose it has had an influence. organism looking little guys

i have been well! when i was most active on this blog & pumping out art, ironically i was doing so while experiencing severe depression and social anxiety. i had been Really Not Doing Well for a long time. since then i've gone to therapy, started meds, found out i'm probably autistic/audhd (surprising no one lol), repeated some high school courses, got a job, went back to college, fell in love, and moved cities!

these things took time and countless baby steps but i genuinely wouldn't have believed any of this was possible for me 5 years ago. sorry for rambling but i guess i'm sharing in case anyone else is in a similar place. things can change for the better!!!

but anyway, as you can imagine the ways i make art have changed over this time, and i've been hesitant to post anything here because tonally/aesthetically it just feels really different than what i used to make. i also have way less free time these days !! i'll probably never be as active as i once was but i would like to work towards feeling more comfy on here once again :)
