Randomly thinking: why do so many kid shows show brothers annoying their sisters? What kind of image does that give young boys tho?
Umm… Isn’t that what brothers do in real life
Um isn’t that what SIBLINGS in general do in…
No. Not really. I see the brother as rambunctious not necessarily an idiot. I usually see the sister portrayed as a tattletale and a whiner whenever she tells an adult of the abuse or teasing. I’m just saying it’s strange how you see brothers irritating sisters, sisters irritating sisters, and brothers irritating brothers. Although all aspects are wrong, you never see sisters irritating brothers as often. The only thing I can think of is Dexter’s Laboratory from when I was a kid and DeDe wasn’t mean to Dexter really but wanting to have a companion but her brother constantly pushed her away. (Yes I know she was clumsy and not very smart & I won’t even get into that) Whether society is doing this purposefully or not, this is how it is being shown to children: boys irritating girls: fine girls irritating girls: fine boys irritating boys: fine but girls irritating boys: not fine Why? It’s just strange and something to think about. I’m not saying its on purpose I’m saying it’s happening and it could be an issue. Example: Both my brother started irritating me mostly when they saw it on TV not because of any influences around them. I would see them take interest in a show where such things happen & they would laugh & suddenly repeat such things from the show. My brother with Lizzy McGuire and my other brother with Phineas and Ferb. Although Phineas and Ferb nothing was intentional at least so that’s good!! It’s just a shame how Candice is portrayed. I think it worth thinking about.
Actually most of the shows on Disney feature sisters messing with brothers, and who said that girls can’t mess with boys?
Most? No. Some? Yes of course. Think more about which one you see MORE of. Think of: That’s So Raven, Kim Possible, Hannah Montana, Lizzie McGuire, Life with Derek, Kids Next Door (also girl vs girl), Clarissa Explains It All I think also Shake It Up? Also crazy enough: The Originals despite the fact that The Vampire Diaries portrays mostly loving relationships between basically all boy/girl siblings (obviously excluding the originals) Andddd, Modern Family (also girl vs girl VERY often) I think only like two shows from my childhood had it reversed: Drake and Josh, Phil of the Future….. It’s actually a proven fact that boys bully more than girls these days by the way:
http://www.stopbullying.gov/image-gallery/what-you-need-to-know-infographic.pdf
(Read where it says Boys, Girls, and bullying)
Also while girls do bully, it’s more likely to be verbal than physically unlike with boys (though BOTH is wrong obviously but I would think with physical bullying comes verbal as well right?). Also it says boys are more likely to be only bullied by boys BUT girls are more likely to be bullied by girls AND boys. Interesting right?
Well how would they find out if boys were bullied by girls? No boy would admit to being bullied by girls
In a probably private & anonymous statistical questioning, why would they not? OH and tell me why would they not.. Because being beat up by a girl is LAME? Cause it makes them a sissy or a loser? Well that’s another problem in itself isn’t it?
And to us guys (most of the guys I know) we wouldn’t even say we have if we were anonymously questioned
Listen, honestly you aren’t even fun to debate with because you have no facts and you have no knowledge about what you are talking about. You are just saying things based on your own biased feelings. This is honestly the most lackadaisical dull debate I have ever done. I kind of don’t want to continue it so… Justttt. Stop.
Well the Bigger thing is how did we debate over sibling rivalry In TV

Queststuck
Hey so my friend Anna has made a fanventure over on mspfa called Queststuck. It’s really awesome so far and I have high hopes for the future. She has it planned out roughly and is not planning on letting it go discontinued. I would highly recommend it but I might be a tad biased so check it out for yourself!

Um isn’t that what SIBLINGS in general do in real life? Which isn’t good either by the way. Um why does the media usually portray a male sibling teasing, irritating, and terrorizing and a girl sibling more than the other way around? Hmm. Let’s think about this.
And what are you watching now it's the sisters messing with the brothers

Doesn't most Kids tv shows with siblings portray the brother as a bumbling idiot who has to rely on his sister(s) to function

Early Feminists: Oh hey, we see that you can vote. We would like to vote also. I mean, since most of those laws effect us too and all.
Men: YOU JUST WANT SUPERIORITY OVER MEN!
Mid-century Feminists: Hey, that whole thing about how you can have careers and earn a living wage outside the home? Yes that sounds nice, we'd like the option to do that as well.
Men: YOU WANT A MATRIARCHY, THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT!
Late 20th century Feminists: Hey we would like to make our own choices about our reproductive health, just like you've always had.
Men: YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE MEN'S RIGHTS AWAY!
Modern-day feminists: Hey, if you could you stop sexually assaulting/harassing us and them blaming us for it, that'd be pretty great.
Men: THIS IS MISANDRY, MISANDRY I SAY! FEMINISTS HAVE GONE TOO FAR!
Feminists: Um...
Men: THE END OF MEN IS NIGH! MALE OPPRESSION IS REAL! THE MATRIARCHAL AGE IS UPON US!
if you’re reading this post i have a request for you, and it goes a little something like
if you are seated, straighten your back
take a few deep, slow breaths in and out
think about your favorite animal
now imagine a baby version of that animal sneezing and how adorable that would be
give yourself a hug
thank you very much! <3
I am a sociopath I see a little baby parasite crying, I have no emotion
Hey I'm bored
Let’s see if it’s possible to convert me and make me a feminist.
How would u like to be converted today
Anyway that would allow me to have an opposing point and not be called a Woman Hating Fedora wearing neck beard
As C.M. Kosemen explains throughout All Yesterdays, we really can’t ever know how much fat and other soft tissues contributed to the overall shape of dinosaurs since that’s the first thing to rot and shrivel tight against their bones and like even a sperm whale has a little skinny skeleton.
so like
how would we know?
Can reptiles even have an abundance of fat to be that big
