Stop beating yourself up for not doing enough. You’re doing as much as you can.
It’s okay if you need to scale back your goals. It’s okay if you need to break them up into smaller steps. It’s okay if you need to change your goals. You aren’t a failure.
You deserve love now. Not once you lose weight. Not once you accomplish that thing. Not once you move. Not once you get on medication. Not once you start therapy. Not once you get that job. Not once you're more like them. Now. You don't have to earn the right to be loved. You deserve it right now, and always have.

yes, food is fuel. but it is also for pleasure. it is also enjoyable. it is also emotional, personal, intimate. food is fuel, yes, but that does not make you a machine. you are allowed to eat something just because you want it, just because it sounds good, regardless of the nutritional properties. food is a shared human experience bridging across our entire existence. to reduce it to something as simplistic as fuel denies us the emotional connection that food contains. food is fuel, yes, but it is also so much more than that.
Your body is on your side. Your body is not the enemy. Your body is supposed to keep you safe. Your body is not meant to whittle away.
