Yes yes absolutely. Billy opens the door and Stu's right there tongue out and panting. He's the kind of dog that will stick his face in Billy's crotch to try and sniff his junk. If he's lucky Billy got himself worked up during his workout and he'll either kick him or let Stu start licking and then its playtime. Unholy things happen in their entryway and against their front door.

(I hope it's not annoying to bring up my current fic but I just wrote a paragraph about this, spoilers are minor⬇️)

'It feels different this time. Like Billy takes them seriously. He's wearing Stu's sweater right now, and they haven't exactly been using the normal words for it but they're together in every way that matters. So Stu stands vigil as Billy molts, honoured just to be there.'

Stealing Stu's clothes isn't exactly new at this point in the story, it's just the first time he's started doing it without an excuse. Before it was always "its colder outside than it was when I got to your house, I'm taking your sweater" or "you got your blood all over my shirt, asshole! Give me a clean one". Now he just might show up in Stu's sweater casually, like he owns it. It mostly lives in his closet.

Billy wearing Stu's sweater without an excuse is a direct progress indicator for their relationship.

Imo Stu doesn't wear a lot of cool tones, so this is one of the few items he owns that's in Billy's preferred colour palette. Billy doesn't really go for the surfer brands that Stu wears but he will wear this billabong sweater because it smells like Stu
