Chase didn't like this place, he didn't like it One Bit. It was dark, it was dry, and nothing looked friendly at all. He wandered the streets a fair pace before running into a person, who was - glowing!?

Chase approached cautiously, with silent steps, before poking one of the glowing strips, a questioning meow coming from his lips. What is this? He seemed to ask.

"By the forest!" he suggested with a grin. "Someplace quiet. With birds!" He bounced happily.

"If you’d like to sing, than do it! What’s holding you back?" He grinned curiously. "Sanity’s … optional in the best of times. I consider myself quite mad."

Caylis chuckled. “That actually sounds like a pretty good idea. I might just have to make the change.” She gave a bow. “Thank you, dear Chase, for the marvelous proposal.”

Caylis then blinked at Chase’s sudden optimism. “It….it’s not that simple….and I don’t even know if it’d be possible!”

He giggled and mimicked the bow, mirroring her. "It's not a problem. Most people don't listen to my proposals." Like Alice. That silly girl never listened! And true, he was only right half the time - still!

"Of course it's simple. You just do it, like anything else."  He purred. "Easier than jabberwock slaying."

Cheshire materialized above the bog, a grin growing on his face as he saw the Knave’s predicament.

"Now, why would I do that?" The tomcat turned a loop in the air before rematerializing only just out of the Knave’s reach, lying on his stomach … on thin air. “Hello, Knave,” he purred cheerfully, resting his chin on his hands and grinning. “You seem to have found yourself in quite the sticky situation.”

Looking up, the Knave sighed. Why did it have to be him?

"Because you’re a kind and decent Cat and rather not have me die in a vat of melted marshmallow." he suggested, but knew it would be no good "Cheshire. Pleasant surprise." Struggling a bit more, he sighed. "Yes. I have. Now are you going to help me, or should I just not waste my last breaths pleading for assistance?"

"Kind and decent cat," he echoed, playing with the words. "How do you know what I'd rather? You're not me. Are you? Do you live up here?" He turned a somersault in the air. "There are worse last breaths. I knew one man who's final breath was 'uhm'!"

"Oh, by the water." He frowned a little. Chase hated water with a passion. It just felt … wrong. Like being touched on all sides.

He grinned when she finished singing. “How pretty. You intend to work as a singer?”

Caylis nodded, frowning some and lowering her head a bit. “Yeah….I, um…..I’m not really the biggest fan where I live, but….its all I can really afford until I find a good enough job to get a place I’m actually interested in, nya?”

The brunette then blushed at Chase’s compliment. “You think so? I would actually like to become a singer. It’s always been a passion of mine. Makes me feel…..sane, nya?” She gave a light smile, starting to get lost in her own little world.

Do you like cats?

"Cats? I suppose I do like cats. They are said to be good listeners when you need someone to talk to. They usually aren’t as clumsy as dogs are. Plus, there is Samhain Hallow’s cat Nightshade who appears to like me.

However, I will always be a dog lover.”
