pretty heart’s going on an indefinite hold for now. by that i mean - this iteration of the webcomic is done; i still love the characters and would like to revisit them in a different format in the future, if i get to.
ill talk about it more under the cut but first -> thank you so much for all the suppport y’all have shown me over the years, it still tickles me to know end when someone tells me at a show they like pretty heart!

originally i took some time off because of my chronic back pain, but id been struggling with pretty heart for a little while, and the break gave me some much needed time to think about my work & what i wanted to do going forward. for a long time i haven’t let myself be completely honest in the work i make - by that i mean i have a tendency to shut myself down, which isn’t *always* a bad thing but i’m trying to take baby steps toward learning how to make things that more genuinely represent who i am as a person.
i was like a junior in college when i first came up w the concepts for pretty heart and a lot has changed since then! dont get me wrong, i’m still proud of what i did with pretty heart, but it was always meant to be a learning experience first and foremost & i’m reading to move on from that. to anyone whose disappointed by this - i understand & i’m sorry! but, well, life’s too short.

if you missed it on twitter, i’ve been dealing with back pain for the past week or so. i’m getting treatment for it now but drawing is difficult so pages will be irregular for a little while. patreon supporters will still get pages a day early regardless of when they’re finished!
