'A Tale of Winter' (dir. by Eric Rohmer) [1992]
Being in art school at a place known for traditional figurative training and spending LITERALLY hundreds of hours drawing naked people, as well as being the person who is in charge of administration FOR the nude model sessions makes all fanfics centered around the premise really, really, really funny. "They talked and flirted during the break" did you know that talking to the model directly as a student is like. Against the rules (if you're at a place that take nude modeling seriously). The vibe at every single session is always distinctly unsexual and in fact usually sort of boring and academic. The people modeling are rarely under 25 and I would wager NEVER other students or peers. I cannot imagine how baristas must feel if this is how funny it is to see misrepresented school/work environments

hype
Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself. Oscar Wilde, The Picture of Dorian Gray
Portraits in movies: Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) The Danish Girl (2015) Dorian Gray (2009) Titanic (1997) Werk ohne Autor (2018) Frida (2002) At Eternity’s Gate (2018)
Genuinely curious at what point misogynists are going to acknowledge how much evidence is required to charge someone with sexual violence...
I also find it curious that people who, undoubtedly, have never read a book... show a sudden and shallow interest in law and order. The justice system's responsibility is to protect people, which it consistently fails to do, especially when it comes to sexual violence.
I'm also wondering at what point we're going to acknowledge that men who frequently say misogynistic things are actually very much the 'type' to be violent towards women, and pretending it's not relevant is fucking idiotic.
He'S nOt ThE tYpE...
Has he tried to shag you?
Does your relationship have a sexual tone?
If the answer is no then please 🌈 shut the fuck up 🌈 x
