Rescue me from my rebellion.
Do not let fools mock me.
I am silent before you; I won’t say a word,
for my punishment is from you.

We need to develop a heart after the Lord: seeking Him and drawing near to Him. Psalm 73:28 says, “But it is good for me to draw near to God.”
We can get as close to God as we want. We need to be eager to seek Him and get to know Him.
For many of us, it's like this - we are always doing things for Jesus but without ever knowing Him intimately. Today, ask the Lord to give you a heart that will seek Him and draw closer to Him. He wants to show Himself to us but we need to make ourselves available by seeking Him. He really wants to be close to us that's why He says in James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
It’s important to remember that Christ told the woman caught in adultery to “go and sin no more” and it’s also important to not be like the ones trying to stone her. You can hold these two beliefs at once.
No one is beyond compassion or mercy. This is a basic Christian fact

“This is the central Christian mystery. Life has, for all its horror, been found by God to be worth dying for.”
~Flannery O'Connor
"Come, let us settle this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are crimson red, they will be like wool."
Isaiah 1:18
Don't we all have one Father? Didn't one God create us? Why then do we act treacherously against one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers?
Malachi 2:10
If then you have been raised with Christ,
seek the things that are above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:1
