starter for @3rrol
Amias was almost certain he was cursed with the frequency he found himself lost in the dark in new places. He could navigate himself blindfolded usually but these maze like streets of Vesuvia were certainly starting to piss him off. It was the dead of night and he found himself praying to which ever god was listening that he could conjure a flame or some form of light as to which he could see.
He pulled his scarves around his head tighter as he turned a corner, cursing himself when he didn’t see the river that he was certain would help him get back to where he needed to be. He was so distracted in looking for some marker to tell him where exactly he was he missed the small woman in front of him and barreled right into her.
Errol woke the next morning feeling both relaxed and thorougly sore. It felt good.
She was still curled into Amias’s side, which was lovely.
She was still wet, as well, which was less than lovely.
Brushing her lips against his jaw, her nails raking lightly over his heart, Errol whispered, “Ami?”
Amias awoke with a small sound as his eyes fluttered open slowly. He was disoriented for waking from such a deep sleep but a soft smile grew on his face as the previous night came back to him.
“Hi there,” he said voice rough as he looked down at her and traced patterns on her shoulder.
Honestly, she was surprised he was still there.
The absolute warmth in his voice was hugely comforting.
“Hi.” Errol propped herself up on her elbow, then leaned in to brush her lips against his. “How’d you sleep?”
Amias’ fingers trailed over the top of her back before moving back to her shoulders. With his other hand he pushed some hair that had fallen in her face back.
“God brilliantly, especially with you in my arms,” he replied blinking the sleep out of his eyes slowly. “What about you, lovely?”
“Very well, thanks.” Errol shivered at the soft touches, leaning in to hide her face against his neck. “You make a good bedmate. I wouldn’t mind keeping you around for a while.”
Amias smiled wide as he looked over her. “Good thing I’m planning on staying in this city for a while,” he replied softly. “Getting to know you more is on the top of my list of things to do.”
