In the context of season 6, Jay is essentially the only one who is ever referred to as a misogynist/incel/whatever in this season, despite comments made by Misako (who essentially told Nya to suck it up and that she shouldn’t want people to not be misogynistic to her because ‘she shouldn’t want things to be easier’?), Cole, and Lloyd (both of which giggled at a stupid ass joke about women and only seemed to overcorrect when it upset Nya) . I also never see anyone talking about how Jay was the first one (of two, him and Lloyd) who attempted to defend Nya when Dareth was being misogynistic towards her. Cole and Zane didn’t say anything, Kai straight up ignored that his sister was being belittled and chose to focus on his fangirls. But, never any accusations for them. I’m not saying Jay was perfect, he obviously was the big instigator of the plot, but if he gets hate for his incel-like words and actions, I don’t get why no one else does
Skybound was a horrible season for everyone. Almost every single character experienced some sort of weird deterioration in their ability to behave. As far as I can remember (tooo lazy to go check rn), Dareth was never even a misogynist up until season 6, he even had a whole sequence where he teamed up with Nya and they worked together in season 4. He would know how capable she is. But the season just sucked. For everyone….. 😔
There are things you can reference from it, I’m not trying to say ignore the season altogether if you don’t want to, I’m not trying to dictate anyone’s behavior, it’s just veryy upsetting
