It's been a very gray winter, So, yesterday my best friend and I were lamenting how we miss how the color yellow feels. Later in the evening, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do with my nails, so I told my boyfriend to pick a color. He replied 'Yellow', so I figured it must be fate, and yellow it is :) (how many times can I use 'so' in a post...LOL)
Anyway, here we have several coats of W&W fastdry in 'The wonder yellows'. It's a very sheer, shimmery yellow. I topped it with a coat of SC 'Call you Later' (which is currently my favorite green glitter), and SV.
Pretty Stripes!!
SH insta-dri in 'Gone Grey', and CG 'For Audrey', topped with CG 'Fairy Dust', and Seche Vite.
Ulta 'Concrete Evidence', CG 'Fifth Avenue', and Zoya in either 'Jana' or 'Petra' (I can't remember)
I realized that I haven't done green in quite a while :)
FP 'Sketch N Etch', sponged with Nail Art Deco in Black and SH insta-dri 'Silver Sweep'. Topped with CG 'Fairy Dust' and SV.
This messy mani is going to be a bitch to get off...lol
Three coats of Nails, Inc. 3D glitter in 'Fitzroy Square', topped with Seche Vite.
W&W black creme, stamped with SH insta-dri in pronto purple (or something like that...lol), and topped with SV.
GLITTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried to get my nails to match some of the ornaments on my tree :) SH 'Silver Sweep', SC 'Queen of Beauty', and CG 'Fairy Dust'. I'm also too lazy to clean up my edges :p
My most favorite purple, Essie 'Sexy Divide', topped with FingerPaints 'Drummer Boy', with Sinful Colors 'Call you later on the accent finger.
Snowflakes!
CG 'Frostbite', with Art Deco nail art in white.
Plaid Nails!
Orly 'Calypso Breeze' for the base color, and art deco nail art in black and magenta for the plaid. Of course, topped with a coat of CG 'Fairy Dust' and Seche Vite.
CG 'Designer Satin', sponged with LA colors art deco in black, topped with a coat of CG 'Fairy Dust' and a layer of Seche Vite.
Pretty blues today :) 2 coats of OPI's 'Russian Navy' and a coat of Fingerpaints 'Drummer Boy' topped with my beloved Seche Vite Topcoat.
and a pic with the flash just because i think it looks neat :)
Nails for Fall!
For this mani, I used Kleancolor in 'Retro Green' as my base color, and put a coat of Essie Matte About You matte topcoat over it. then I got my stamping plates out and found an image of leaves (can't remember the plate #, it's from the first bundle monster set). I used Sally Hansen insta-dri in 'Silver sweep' for the leaves and then went over it with the same stamp but this time with Kleancolor in 'Black Hole'. It's all kind of sloppy, but I like it :)
So, yesterday I saw my bottle of Sinful Colors 'what's your name' (black base with blue/purple glitter), and thought it would be pretty on my nails. So, I applied 2 coats. A little while later, I was looking at it and I decided it wasn't sparkly enough, so I put on a coat of China Glaze 'fairy Dust'. It wasn't enough. I dug around in my nail polish bin and found a little mini bottle of purple and blue glitter from ULTA (it doesn't have a name), and put a coat on. It was pretty, but I didn't feel it was quite there yet. I couldn't find another glitter that I thought would work, so I added another layer of 'Fairy Dust'....and, wow..... my nails look like a bunch of glitter fairies had an orgy on them...lol
Halloween Nails!
This is a bad pic, but I couldn't wait until daylight for a better one :) IRL, the grey I used as my base (Ulta 'concrete evidence') is a little darker. I sponged white and black (both LA colors nail art) on most of my fingers, but painted little webs on my middle fingers. All topped with Sinful Colors 'Queen of beauty' glitter.
I did these a few days ago, and accidentally dented the hell out of them...lol This mani is *very* similar to one I did while my nails were stubs a while ago. Using China Glaze in 'For Audrey' as the base, I striped with China Glaze 'Fifth Avenue' and Zoya 'Dree', using my black striper to add a little detail. I then added a generous coat of China Glaze 'Fairy Dust' (a.k.a 'nail crack').
