The filmmaker is Joshua Umia, a 17-year-old Nigerian student. Here’s an interview with him and here’s an article about his process (he films on a Blackberry).

You can watch more of his work on his YouTube channel, Filmic Star Production. This includes the video above, Akenzua Flash vs Zoom - the clip here’s actually as long as it gets, there’s no extra scenes removed for the Tumblr version. However, the YouTube channel does have a ton of his work that’s in this vein, so you could probably piece it all together if you want.
