The Dragon Queen come home to claim her throne
She was like a withered rose with broken thorns. but she was the prettiest one. she was also the strongest one. everyone went for the roses that looked alike, but i wanted something different. something that caught my eye, and there she was. outstanding and different.

She loved the sea. She liked the sharp salty smell of the air, and the vastness of the horizons bounded only by a vault of azure sky above. It made her feel small, but free as well.

Countdown to Season 7 - Day 7: Favourite Quote/s â Valar Morghulis
@warriorcasalis:
âAs if people didnât feed you enough just because youâre lovely to them,â Gonzalo chuckled at Bellaâs antics, the young bard always had a way to make everything sound incredibly dramatic and particularly funny. The thought of her crying his death to gain peopleâs favors made him bark a loud laughter, catching the attention of quite a few people around them. âOh, youâre impossible, darling.â
The thought of a cold winter almost made him shiver when the memory of the warm sun of Varthal was still present on his tanned skin. Miwor Town wasnât too bad, but Gonzalo would never get used to the chilly wind of the morning, instead of the sun streaming through his window, warming up his body. âIâll take you to the south one day,â he promised, smiling down at his dear friend. âSo you can see the sun, the colors⊠I missed the Wardens a lot, but Varthal is just⊠Itâs home.â Nostalgia rarely hit him like that, traveling and adventuring was half of who he was, but apparently this particular return was harder than he expected. Thankfully, Bellâs kindness warmed him up just a little bit. âHm⊠That sounds like a good idea. We do something like that for orphaned colts, but itâs a good trick. You rarely need it in the south. Thanks, Bells.â
They started walking together towards the tavern, Gonzalo still smiling and waving at people greeting him from afar, happy to see he had returned. He noticed some murmurs and strange looks at their linked arms but he paid them no mind. People loved to gossip when they were bored, and who was he to deny them that? Once they reached the tavern, Gonzalo held the door open for Bella to walk in and followed soon after, finding a table close to the windows. âNow, Bells. Tell me everything thatâs been going on.â
âYouâd be surprised! Â Sometimes I have to ask,â she teased happily, smiling up at the warrior with all the happiness in the world. Â She really was happy that he was ok. Â If he had been hurt at all upon his return, she would have been truly sad. Â He was special to her whether he reciprocated her ebbing feelings or no.
âThatâs what they tell me. Â âBelladonna, you impossible girl.ââ Â She listened to him describe the warm sun and tried to imagine the colors he mentioned. Â It was beautiful. Â âOh Lalo, it sounds...so sweaty. Â Really Iâll have to bring my light dresses and even that might be a bit too much.â Oh she couldnât help it. Â She was in a joking mood. Â She smiled but quickly assured him. Â âIâm teasing. Â I would love to see your home. Â Iâm sure itâs as beau-wonderful as you are.â Â
She ducked her head and continued on despite her flub.  âI used to hate the cold, but now I miss it.  I rarely need the bottle anymore.  Now I just kick the covers off because by the Singing Tree, it is hot down here. Comparatively of course.  I always thought Highwing was too hot as well.  Look!  Iâve started tanning!  Iâll have to wait for winter to get back to my normal coloring.â Â
She noticed the occasional stare and murmur, and she felt a bit guilty. Â She shouldnât be so friendly with him. Â And yet, the idea of not being this way with Lalo was unbearable. Â Heâd become her friend, and he was a dear friend indeed. Â They both loved horses to an almost weird point, and they were both stupidly friendly which would probably get them in trouble one day. Â But they had each otherâs backs. Â And what was wrong with that?
She stepped into the tavern and inclined her head as thanks for his chivalry. Â As they found their table, Bell relaxed a bit, leaning back and resting her clasped hands on her stomachâa stomach that wasnât nearly as big as it once was. Â Guess all this exercise had caught up with her. Â âWell, there was an issue with the well. Â Turned out it was just a dead body. Â Sad, but we figured out how to get it out and clean the well. Â We also dug another just in case. Â Arden got captured by the High Kingâyou know, really. Â Iâve known Darius for a while now, and really, heâs never acted with such abandon. Â Iâm quite worried for him.â Â He always did like her singing.
