Don't You Forget About Me
Kali looked over at him with a smirk, shaking her head. “Oh trust me, I know. You tend to just watch while I skate but I figured why not?” She smiles then, shrugging her shoulders and grabbing another pair just case he decides to go out before getting into the passenger’s seat and nodding her head. “There is. Your mother kind of…gave me my own rink in a way. I like to teach classes in my free time when I’m not training or anything and I guess she figured why not?” She motioned for him to start the car. “Just drive and I’ll let you know how to get there.” She had to stop herself from grabbing his hand as she had gotten so accustomed to, moving to turn on the radio instead and humming along with the songs that came on. It didn’t take much, telling him when to turn, before they arrived and Kali felt like she was buzzing. “I’m a bit excited to show you what I can do.” She explained, bouncing on her toes and running towards the door. “Come on, Scruffy! Hurry up!”
His smile softens when he sees hers light up, part of the guilt inside of him momentarily disappearing. Elias opens the door for her then moves around to the drivers side, but looks over at Kali before starting the car. His head tips to the side and he smiles, laughing slightly, because he thinks of how it's an extravagant gift in her own special way. "Really? That's pretty amazing." He nods to her command, starting up the car and heading out onto the palace driveway. From the corner of his eye, he notices that Kali stretches out her hand and it freezes for a moment before turning the radio on. "Are you now?" Elias laughs then follows her out to the door, jogging slightly when the blonde tells him to hurry up. His eyebrows furrow at the nickname and before she can move into the building, he gently grabs her wrist and spins her gently. "I know that I may not remember you, but you can still do the things that we would normally do. Like hold hands or whatever else we did. Maybe if my body recognized the physical things, then the memory thing will help it along." He shrugs and thinks he may have read that somewhere but he's not sure. It just sounded like an appropriate thing to say. Looking into her eyes, he gently rubs his thumb along her pulse point then lets go, looking up at the building. "Alright! Skating. Let's do it."
