Don't You Forget About Me
His smile softens when he sees hers light up, part of the guilt inside of him momentarily disappearing. Elias opens the door for her then moves around to the drivers side, but looks over at Kali before starting the car. His head tips to the side and he smiles, laughing slightly, because he thinks of how itās an extravagant gift in her own special way. āReally? Thatās pretty amazing.ā He nods to her command, starting up the car and heading out onto the palace driveway. From the corner of his eye, he notices that Kali stretches out her hand and it freezes for a moment before turning the radio on. āAre you now?ā Elias laughs then follows her out to the door, jogging slightly when the blonde tells him to hurry up. His eyebrows furrow at the nickname and before she can move into the building, he gently grabs her wrist and spins her gently. āI know that I may not remember you, but you can still do the things that we would normally do. Like hold hands or whatever else we did. Maybe if my body recognized the physical things, then the memory thing will help it along.ā He shrugs and thinks he may have read that somewhere but heās not sure. It just sounded like an appropriate thing to say. Looking into her eyes, he gently rubs his thumb along her pulse point then lets go, looking up at the building. āAlright! Skating. Letās do it.āĀ
Kali nodded her head, glancing at him with a big grin. "Of course! It's almost like brand new plus I never really got to show you what I do by myself rather than with a partner." She explained, bouncing on her toes near the door. She felt like she was buzzing with energy, startled out of her thoughts when she feels a grip on her wrist. She gasped, looking at him and nodding her head in agreement, biting her lip as she thought about how he had probably noticed her movement in the car. She followed him in at a slower pace before getting caught up in the excitement again and running to sit on a bench. She laced up the skates easily, stepping up to walk towards the ice before instinct and training took over, and she was gone. The smell of fresh ice was something that Kali always loved, feeling like she was coming home even after the accident that had taken her father. She took a breath, throwing herself into a triple axel and smiling as she landed before looking over to the sidelines. "Are you going to join me or...?"
