One of my best friends growing up was the daughter of a single mother and her mother started saying ‘boobs of steel’ instead of ‘balls of steel’ after escaping her abusive husband and the saying spread to my friend and I so when someone is very brave I think damn, they have boobs of steel. I actually like it a lot more than the original phrase because everyone has boobs (except for those who have had a radical mastectomy) and it calls to mind the image of someone in a shiny steel armor breastplate instead of two useless steel balls bouncing around, which is not very inspiring. Codpiece of steel, maybe but steel balls sound like a logistical nightmare.

Hi, I have something very important to say.

12 years ago, when I was 13 my life changed forever because at that time Russia invaded part of Ukraine. Before that I have only seen war in books and on TV and now it was in my country. It was terrifying but I was able to live with that because it was still far from home.

Until 4 years on this day I heard the first explosions and felt it shake my house because war came to my city as well.

I was 21, I was going to finish university in a few months and finally start my life. I had plans to reunite with the love of my life that summer, marry and start living with him in the apartment I got just a few days before. Instead I was forced to abandon everything, my belongings, my plans, my future and run.

4 years later nothing got easier, I feel like my life is on pause. I feel uncertain about every day, I don't feel like I belong in the country I have to live in, I can't enjoy anything to the fullest, I can't have fun. Everything I do feels like a distraction. And I'm still terrified.

I'm scared to think of what my life will become if Ukraine loses but I just know it will become even worse. A lot of people are thinking the same thing but from home where they hear sirens and explosions every day. A lot of them are children.

But YOU CAN HELP!

Maybe you enjoy my comic and want to know what will happen next or you like how I design characters or my BPD comic helped you or perhaps you just like the way I draw ponies. "comparing apples and oranges" has always been funny to me as an expression because people's go to exampe of two things so radically different that they defy any useful comparison are apples. and oranges. like you would struggle to find a more comparable pair of objects than that. theyre literally sold right next to each other in most stores.
