ăâăââ â Marth!? â He nearly dropped a cup as he saw his friend sinking to the ground. He felt bad for what he just said. The redhead left the saved cup on the kitchen table and knelt to help the prince standing.
â I didnât know youâve hurt your leg! Did that happen during a Smash run? You should see a doctor for that bad leg, Marth! How will you be able to fight if you canât walk properly?! â Now Roy was worried. â You sit down and donât move. Iâll take care of the tea, then we will go to the infirmary! â The boy ordered.Â
âItâs... Iâm... fine, Roy,â the prince murmured through gritted teeth as he struggled to rise. Thankfully, with Royâs help, he was back on his feet quickly, and collapsed back in his chair. âAnd... Itâs not a new injury from smash. Nor would any doctor be more help than theyâve already been.â
Marth sighed; if he was going to say that much, he might as well explain the whole thing.
âYou asked before how Iâd been after the last time we saw each other; I didnât answer. The truth is, after Brawl, another war broke out back home. Medeus was resurrected once more, and once more I put an end to him - but it was not without cost. I had to leap into the air to deliver a killing blow, and he died, his tail lashed out and caught my leg before I could land, and I landed on it wrong -â
He shuddered at the memory, but the tale was not yet complete. â...I should have been fine, though. We had many healers nearby, including my sister, Elice. âStay off your leg for a while,â she told me as she healed me up. âItâs still weakened by that break. If you work too hard on it, you wonât ever walk right again.â Stay off that leg, when I had a kingdom to return to and rebuild, people to see and greet, so many things to do... I couldnât, possibly, and I paid the price for it.â
Another sigh. âItâs usually not like this. Itâs just a limp, now - but step on it wrong, or use it too heavily, and thatâs painful - I have a brace, for fighting, but besides that, itâs pretty much unfixable by now.â
