Yoshiko pondered whether everyone else rigged these to always result in her loss. She’d lost at rock-paper-scissors yet again, leading to her heading out to greet the event’s other performers. Much to her intrigue, no other school idols appeared to have been booked; the others were bands, most of them close to her own age. About the same age range as Roselia too, for that matter.
She paused in front of a door bearing the name ‘Hello, Happy World!’. The first year approached to knock, only for said door to open.
“…My apologies! I never expected a human to surprise me like that!” Blurted out by Yoshiko after stepping back. It took a moment to regain her composure. “…That aside, I take it you’re a part of this ‘Hello, Happy World’, correct?” From what she understood from their logo. “Because that would mean you’re a fellow performer, sharing the stage with the great Yohane, no less!”
After spending a few minutes getting ready by herself in the dressing room, Kaoru had decided to go out and meet some of the other groups performing as the other members of her band had already beat her in starting to do so. It was impolite and not very gentleman-like not to, but she didn't expect to meet someone so suddenly, as soon as she opened the door to leave at that.
A look of surprise crossed her own face for a moment as she locked eyes with the other girl, before quickly smiling. “No need to apologize. I should be the one apologizing, for taking such a cute girl off-guard.”
Listening to her talk, it became obvious that she was a chuunibyou, which was a little strange, but not something she hadn't seen before. “Yes, my name is Kaoru Seta, of Hello, Happy World! It's my pleasure to perform with you, Yohane-san— for that, I must be blessed.“ She took a step back to give a graceful bow before glancing up at Yohane.
“Now, is there something you needed help with? You're welcome to relax in here for a bit if you'd like.” She stepped out of the way. “I was going to make my way outside, but a few extra minutes won't hurt, will it?”
