I’ve got this friend who decided to put a bunch of disgusting spiders on my locker— I need to make her pay for it, see?
Well, that's some friend you have there, Nat.
But alright, I have got your back in this. Did you already figure out how you want to do it ?

║Down The Rabbit Hole ♚ King & Loren ║
◯ ◯ ◯
Water rolled in rivulets down every crevice of his cool flesh like liquid diamond, cascading from damp ebony hair into the surface below as it poured from an ornate crystal jug. The monarch let a deep, sighed breath leave his maw in content. Everything about the King of Midgard reeked of regal splendour from his emerald gaze, blazing with an ancient fire, to the confident set of his limbs in the steaming bath around him.
The soothing sensation of warmth surrounding his skin was so much of a comfort that he barely bothered to raise his head in acknowledgement of the guards entering the chamber, the clink of metal echoing against gold and stone. That was until a voice so familiar it was as if it escaped his very own lips wafted through the stifling air to his attentive ears.
The god’s bulky form rose gracefully from the sunken pool with narrowed eyes fixed securely upon the creature caught in his servants’ grasps. Another twin.
”Release him…” Came the slow, rumbled command from his chest into the vast hall, filling it like thunder, “Leave us…”
The guards looked to their captive, but they soon loosed their grip, bowing to their liege-lord and filing out of the room leaving the two Tricksters alone in silence; the lapping of water against the edges of the bath rose to colour the space between them as Loki tilted his head to the side in observation of his reflection standing so abashedly.
”Join me " he uttered, the words slithering like honey in a request that sounded more like an order, "Unless, of course…you are afraid…”
Despite the fact that it was one of his doubles, in essence making this as normal as if the prince was merely staring at himself like one would in a mirror -save for a few individual differences-, he still couldn't shake the feeling that he was intruding on a rather intimate matter, his gaze deliberately wandering across anything else but the comfortably bathing monarch. After all, according to his experience it wasn't very custom for many to see someone in a position of power in such compromising circumstances, let alone an uninvited trespasser.
When the other merely ordered his guards to release him then, however, instead of having him forcefully removed off the premises, or worse, it struck the god as a rather odd turn of events. Apparently, his twin was far more lenient and levelheaded about the whole situation than he had expected. Although, this didn't result in Loki already dropping his guard entirely. He remained wary as this was still the Trickster, the Liesmith, and his demeanor could shift dramatically from one moment to the next, now behind closed doors and hidden from any other curious spectators.
A cold shiver traversed the length of the deity's spine in that brief moment of silence between them where he finally dared to lock eyes on the sovereign and simply awaited for him to make the first move. And he did. Yet it only managed to catch the prince by surprise just once more.
"B-beg your pardon ?" Loki asked in disbelief of those deceivingly sweet words falling from the double's lips at first, brows lifting while a nervous chuckle escaped him. Truth be told, he was not exactly looking forward to participating in such a thing after having only met this twin a good moment ago but the tone of the king's voice somehow suggested that he had very little other choice. That and the raven rather felt his reputation to be at stake now as well. So he hesitated for a second more before he finally groaned in mild frustration, a slight roll of his eyes accompanying the gesture.
"I might live only to regret this...", he mumbled and reluctantly started to unbuckle the leather fastenings of his outfit, shrugging the coat from his shoulders then along with slipping off his tunic and boots. Though...he held on to his trousers for now. Call it an act of still wanting to show he retained some free will, at least. A generous step forward brought the god to the edge of the bath next where he proceeded to cautiously lower himself into the warm water, Loki grimacing at the feeling of wet leather sticking to his legs before he settled on the opposite end of his image with a forced smile spread across his lips and swallowed the lump in his throat before he spoke.
"Now what, your Majesty ?"
Salvator || Sigyn x Loki ||
Loki covered the bad moment well, but Sigyn was a trained healer and her observant gaze did not miss his slight wince and how hastily he stood again. A few quick steps put her by his side, not touching him but ready to catch him if the need arose.
“You are most welcome, my prince,” she replied with hasty courtesy. “Forgive me, but I would ask that you sit down. Your graciousness does you credit but no favors at the moment.” She made the last a lighthearted quip with an undertone of seriousness, for she had not yet examined his wound and knew only that there had been a delay already. “And I will need to remove your coat so that I may examine the wound.” She had not brought a lantern into the tent with her, but fortunately Sigyn did not need one. With a few whispered words and a sweeping of her hands one over the other, palms facing each other, a small ball of cool blue light appeared between them and remained there, brightening their surroundings and giving her a much better view of Loki. Another gesture moved the little orb of light to hover over Loki’s injured shoulder. “There, that is a bit better,” she said briskly to hide her uncharacteristic nervousness. “Now, may I have your permission to examine you, my prince?”
A fleeting smirk tugged at the corners of his lips and the trickster's eyes seemed to briefly light up at those words which he couldn't resist but to take as a small compliment. The way he carried and presented himself was a matter of importance to him, something he took pride in and which he hoped would distinguish him from others by something else than the overall favored quality of mere brute strength.
"Of course, my apologies," Loki replied her although with just a slight hint of embarrassment, a quick chuckle leaving him before he proceeded to step back and cautiously lower himself to sit on the edge of his current makeshift bed. By the Lady's request, he was about to dispose of his garments next yet the soft sound of her whisper and the accompanying gesture of her hands made him pause in that intention and left the prince soon staring somewhat perplexed at this curious orb she had managed to conjure up out of thin air, a brow arching while he had to resist his urge to try and grasp it.
"Ah, yes," the god said hastily after a moment, clearing his throat as her question returned his focus and he now shrugged off his upper coat, his tunic -with some minor difficulty and a suppressed groan- following to eventually expose his wound to view. Finally, with a nod and a gentle smile seizing his lips, he clearly expressed his permission for her to begin.
From then, Loki remained rather quiet at first, both because he wished not to disturb the young woman in her work and because he was still pondering about the source of light hovering only a few inches away from him. As far as he knew, the Healers Guild did not practice any kind of magic so how she came to do so was something he was obviously intrigued by. And knowing him, he would not able to let it go until he had figured out that answer.
"Had I known, milady Sigyn," the prince started quietly, "that there was this...interesting hidden ability to you, I might have gone and sustained an injury a lot sooner." It was his poor attempt at a small jest but he still hoped it succeeded in further breaking the ice between them, if even for a little bit. "Would you mind greatly if I asked how you came to learn...well, this ?", Loki ending his question with a wave of his hand towards the summoned orb.
Alright, but let’s pretend I wanted to pull a prank on a friend————— you could totally help me get away with it, right?
Pretend...right... But yeah, probably. Who did you have in mind ?
"You?" Cheryl stared at him, thoughtful and quiet. She honestly hadn’t thought about this question, never having thought of this Loki as a romantic prospect. She considered the question. "I think…I think you could possibly make a match with me," she said slowly, "but it would take some getting used to. You’re often very…cryptic with me, and it makes it difficult to know your true feelings."
The god let out a rather sinister laugh while he lightly shook his head. "Cheryl, my dear," he spoke in a slight purr, "You know, I was not particularly referring to us tying the knot but I suppose it is...flattering to know this is what you think of it." A grin seized his lips then before Loki waved a hand in dismissal. "Your husband might be not so pleased to hear, however. Yet, tell him not to worry as if you wish me not to be cryptic for once, Cheryl, I consider you but a friend."
Stony countenance & an equally unbroken gaze shifted momentarily at the god’s M A U D L I N bid to convince him to let him stay, resting on an nondescript point on the carpet, mouth fixed in an unimpressed line. Only Loki’s unexpected gift of the instrument kept him from being unceremoniously ordered off private property; curmudgeon though he was, Adam’s affinity for the well-made guitar would always be a w e a k n e s s.
Barely making an effort to conceal the eyeroll that followed the god’s poor excuse, he pushed himself from the chair and moved into the other room, not in search of any beverage for his unwanted guest, but for a bit of breathing space.
There was no doubt that Loki was probably fucking with him; he wielded m a g i c of a kind, Adam was sure, and could probably get himself home ( wherever that was ) in the span of a blink.
❝ I don’t have anything, ❞ he replied, the clip of his deadpan tone taking on a faint edge of irritation. ❝ If you stay, you’re going to have to deal with that. ❞
It wasn’t as though he had any reason to ever go grocery shopping; his refrigerator was still unused and unplugged, as clean as the day it’d been purchased, save maybe a veneer of d u s t. There were no refreshments in his house save that of H U M A N blood.
He was taking more pleasure in the man's obvious disgruntlement than he probably should, if he were to ever earn himself a place on his good side, the god only barely being able to withhold the chuckle that wished to escape while he let emerald eyes slip shut and pretended to be suddenly overcome with fatigue. Granted, it was unlike him to act this pleasantly relaxed around a being he basically knew nothing about but this particular situation, he felt, was just begging to be exploited.
"My, my..." he hummed in groggy voice, "It is hard to see why you do not entertain guests more often, Adam, as you are marvelous at making them feel so very welcome." A passing quirk of a brow and a twitch of thin lips soon followed those words to prove them but a playful jest before the prince eventually, lazily, opened his eyes once again to gaze upon the musician in question.
"So you are saying that you cannot even spare one measly glass of water ? Hmm, now that seems rather unlikely, don't you think ?" Loki paused then only to lift himself up in one swift motion next and moved to walk behind the sofa, perching one hand atop of it while the other settled on his hip.
"Perhaps I ought to have a look for myself ?", the trickster flashing white teeth in a wide grin, "Who knows, with your home being in such a crowded state, you might have simply lost sight of things..."
