So I had been thinking I should just archive this blog and be done with it because no one’s paying attention anymore anyway... then I see this.
Where are all these people coming from, and where were they when I was trying to get some interactions going?
I just cannot... ~smh~
“A gift given in true affection is always of great worth,” she assured him sweetly, and patted his arm. It had not escaped her notice how he had stiffened when she kissed him, and she wondered if she should not have done so. “I am privileged to have your friendship, my dear prince.”
As there weren’t many for whom Loki would go through the trouble of finding a suitable gift, the god visibly took comfort in those words, his gaze flitting from the book back up to the maiden’s when she briefly layed her hand upon his arm and he proceeded to relax under its touch.
“As I yours, my kind lady,” the prince offered his gratitude in return, lips curled into a somewhat cheeky smile as he couldn’t help feeling proud of how fondly she addressed him. Clearing his throat next, he continued in a slightly more excited tone.
“If you’d like, we could always try to collect some of the items mentioned among these pages already? To get you started at attempting a method or two perhaps?”
His cheeky smile and the easing of his frame from its former tension relieved her greatly and she slipped her arm through his, grinning excitedly up at the tall prince.
“Yes, please, I would like that very much,” she assured him. “What shall we start with? The garden perhaps, the forest, or the marketplace? Or did you have somewhere else in mind?”
PSA
Okay. I have got to say something. You do not have to read this if you do not want to.
People who think think that Loki isn’t always scheming something. People who think Loki didn’t plan to get Thor banished. People who acknowledge Loki’s mental problems. People who recognize that he is the victim of mental abuse, as is Thor (see, how Odin messed them both up by spoiling one son and not favoring the other, co-dependency, etc.). People who believe he was tortured by Thanos (and do have evidence for it). People who believe that Loki is not a psychopath/sociopath (If you research the true definitions of psychopath, he DOES NOT fit the bill). People who want fairness in his punishment (which is not eternal imprisonment with no impetus for redemption or chance to be released as presented by the narrative). People who do not make him abusive to those he loves. People who think he actually died or was gravely wounded by Kurse’s hand. People who believe that he is ambiguous and complex enough to have both heroic and villainous qualities. People who want the flaws and equally as bad crimes of other characters in the MCU acknowledged. People who understand that what Loki has done is atrocious, but also see how mostly every hero in the MCU has killed many many beings and has done just as atrocious things. People who believe that Odin is a hypocrite in his treatment of Loki and was intentionally cruel to him at the trial. People who believe that Loki is not straight up evil, perpetually lying, and always out to hurt others.
These people are not woobifying or self-inserting Loki. These people are not woobifying or self-inserting Loki anymore than those people who believe he is evil, always scheming, and a psychopath are self-inserting or changing him.
I have worked for three years on developing my Loki. Three years. I have watched the movies countless times, done lots of MCU research, done in-depth research on PTSD and other psychological disorders, and written lots of meta.
Just because I, and fans like me, see Loki as highly sympathetic, doesn’t make us any less of fans. Just because we believe the extent and duration of his punishment was unfair compared to others, doesn’t make us any less of fans. Just because we believe he did not scheme to got Thor banished, doesn’t make us less fans.
MCU, Marvel Cinematic Universe (Movie universe) does not, in any way, equal the Marvel Comic universe. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is NOT Comic Loki, and when we write and develop our Lokis, we are no less fans for not integrating comic Loki. Because Comic Loki IS NOT Movie Loki. Comic stuff does not influence movie stuff. Even the prelude comics are different from the actual movie content. They are NOT the movies.
Please. Stop telling fans like me that the Loki we argue in defense of is a self-insert. That is not kind or fair to us. I know my muse has done atrocious things, and that he is not sorry for some of them, but that does not negate the abuse he has suffered or anything else that happened or was done to him.
And that doesn’t make me less of a fan or less dedicated to quality in my portrayal.

I do not understand why people can side with this, and cheer Thor on. I do not grasp how this is right, or how it would be just for Thor to begin pummeling or threatening Loki, when Loki is already imprisoned, serving his sentence. Loki does not have any physical weapon, nor is clad in extensive armor. I had seen the reasoning, that because of what Loki has done, it is good for him to see Thor behaving in this manner. Intimidating. Threatening. Perhaps with the suggestion of physical violence due to Thor’s tactile personality when he is angered, or just period. Is it truly believed that physically hurting Loki is going to correct his criminal acts? Truly? That Thor bearing down on him, backing him into a corner, is going to make him submissive in some manner? That is healthy? That is working toward repairing relationships? Reforming? Keeping Loki from continuing in his deeds? What…out of fear?
I cannot agree with Thor behaving like this. I cannot agree with the argument that Loki deserves to see this because of what he has done. So. Thor deserves to be treated like this because he killed Jotun? The Warriors Three, Sif, Heimdall? They all committed treason. Thor tried to wipe out the Jotun, for which he actually never showed remorse for. He did not apologize, specifically, for slaughtering them. Should he be treated like this?
//Signal-boosting this, because when are people going to realize that bullying is never ever ever acceptable or admirable? It does not matter who is the perpetrator or who is the victim, it is WRONG. It is not sexy. It is not ‘cool’. It is repulsive, especially when committed against one’s own sibling.
And that more than anything else really sickens me about some parts of the Thor fandom - the insistence that behavior like bullying, treason, and blatant hypocrisy are okay as long as they’re committed against Loki.
What part of NEVER ACCEPTABLE is difficult to fathom?
well i certainly hope that your stance on murder, genocide and enslaving a planet is just as strict. you know, all those things that your poor bullied loki has done
also lmao maybe hold off on yelling about physical violence on this gifset, for the rather simple fact that it does not happen. i have in fact once compiled a list of all moments of physical violence between thor and loki in thor, the avengers and thor the dark world and SURPRISE in every. single. instance. the violence is started by loki and like honestly, he does have to try pretty damn hard to get thor to hit him back.
idk how you can even let out the word hypocrisy out of your mouth when you are ready to condemn thor for WALKING QUICKLY towards loki in a very tense and dangerous situation that he can reasonably worry loki had a hand in causing and at the same time completely dismiss the amount of horrible things loki has done to thor.
what the fuck am i even doing here rn it’s like i don’t know this will always happen no matter what, apologists will be apologists lmao
And here comes Thorduna with a sterling example of both bullying and victim-blaming, because obviously you just can’t be a Thor fan unless you exonerate him of every last bad thing he did in the history of ever, and post snide insulting arguments with anybody who dares claim he’s anything but an innocent angel.
I could write pages pointing out every glaring flaw in your argument, but I already know from other such charming discussions with you that you are one of those people who will never in a million years admit you’re wrong even if you’re beaten over the head with canon evidence of it. So I’m not going to waste my effort.
If you can’t recognize intentional physical intimidation, then you must have had a charmed life and I envy you for it. Otherwise you’re just another hypocritical Thor fangirl excusing Thor’s every move and having tantrums if Loki so much as looks sideways at him. And that’s very sad.
So just drop it. You are not going to verbally bully every Loki fan on tumblr into swallowing your nonsense no matter how many arguments you pick over it. Just pretend you’re a grown-up and accept that not everyone on the planet HAS to agree with you.
And don’t bother arguing with me, I’m blocking you. If I wanted to spend my time arguing with children I’d get a job in a daycare center.
For the next five questions my Muse can not tell a lie.
ooc: Okay, just to try this:

"Never stop. Never stop fighting. Never stop dreaming." - Tom Hiddleston
Salvator ||Sigyn x Loki ||
A feeling of sympathy swelled within the god at the young woman’s confession, dark brows furrowing while his smile somewhat faltered. Her words hit closer to home than he was willing to admit. Being looked down upon for whatever often ridiculous reason, that sense of not belonging; it were no foreign matters to the younger son of Odin. Still, he took small comfort in the knowledge that she declared to have found acceptance, both for her sake as his own as it kept that spark of hope alive that someday he might find the same.
Loki saw no reason for the maiden to apologize next, as he was quite content listening to her speak, but he offered a friendly nod and allowed her to change the subject nonetheless. He couldn’t resist slightly rolling his eyes then, not because of the fact that her sisters seemed to display no interest -to each their own, after all- but because of that well-known distinction she mentioned that showed no early signs of fading.
"I see," the prince stated, "It is a pity, really. Seidr holds such great potential yet so very few are willing to give it its credit worth.” The thought caused a quiet sigh to slip from him in defeat, although he dismissed it just as quickly, before it would turn the atmosphere in his tent to an awkward and gloomy one, and found himself smiling once more soon enough.
"Yes," Loki replied to the healer’s suggestion, a bit too eager for his liking which now left him feeling lightly embarrassed. "I mean," he corrected himself, clearing his throat before he resumed in composed manner, though the delighted glint in his eyes remained, "I mean, both sound lovely, milady. I would not want to bother you with any questions while you work so perhaps we should meet up afterwards as well. Will you call for me then, when we have returned to Asgard? Or shall I send over a servant to inquire about your schedule and…pick a moment at random?”
“Oh, I agree completely,” she smiled, feeling a little more confident speaking of a less personal subject. “I have long wondered why sorcery seems to be viewed with so much suspicion in Asgard. I do not think it was always so.” She gazed at him for a moment, having noticed his sigh but unsure how to console him. Yet perhaps she did not have to, for his face brightened again at the her suggestion. It was good to see him smiling, but it made her wonder how lonely he was that the prospect of her company would prompt such eagerness from him. Perhaps it was their shared interest in magic, for surely few of the ladies at court, however alluring and worldly, held any interest in seidr.
“Perhaps we could meet one evening in the palace gardens, or somewhere else we could work sorcery without disturbing anyone?” she suggested uncertainly. “I have no doubt that you have many duties as prince while I have only my duty shifts in the healing rooms, so perhaps you could let me know the best times for you?” Her eyes flicked to his shoulder as she remembered what she had been summoned for, and she smiled self-consciously and added, “Although of course you may want to rest up for a day or so beforehand so that it will not overtire you after your healing, my prince.”
Two is Better than One || Sigyn x Loki ||
The picturesque view from his balcony window as he awoke that morn had him stunned in surprise. A thick layer of snow covered the once golden city like a pristine white sheet, the bright reflection of sunlight upon that surface almost painful to the eyes. Asgard knew the turning of the seasons yet winters usually remained rather mild and passed without much notice. The days turned shorter, the air colder, surely, but snow did not always make its entry during this period and especially not in the amounts in which it currently layed widely spread amongst the streets and rooftops alike.
To not appreciate the event now that it occured and while it lasted would truly be a shame. Although Loki had no plans to do so alone.
The prince dressed himself in the finest of his cloaks then, the top adorned with luxurious fur, and set out toward the goddess’ chambers with hurried, excited steps; sparing anyone he passed barely a glance. It wasn’t until he had reached the doors, however, and raised a gloved hand to give a short knock that the thought sprung to mind that she could very well still be asleep. Or have already risen bright and early to attend to her affairs. Either way, the god had no intention of simply heading back and so decided, after taking a deep breath, to try his luck, offering three small knocks before he stood in silence.
Sigyn enjoyed the luxury of sleeping in that day since she was not scheduled for a shift in the Healing room, and so she rose to find the sun well risen and shining upon the glittering overlay of snow that blanketed Asgard. She paused to admire it for a few minutes, and then clothed herself in a warm winter gown. Perhaps she would go for a walk later to enjoy the snow while it lasted. Yet such a thing would be far more enjoyable with some friendly company, and so she pondered who to ask. Of course some of her sister healers would probably be willing, but the person she most wished to ask was Loki. She would greatly enjoy spending the time with him, but surely as prince he would be too busy for such leisure… Just as she reluctantly pushed aside that notion, a knock sounded at her door. She lifted her eyebrows, hoping that did not mean there was immediate need for her professional skills, and went to answer it. “Prince Loki!” she exclaimed, for there stood the prince himself as if her thoughts had conjured him. Soon she recovered from her surprise and gave him a sincere smile, “How lovely to see you. Will you come in?” He was dressed for going outside, she noticed. Had he just come in from the outdoors, or was he planning to go out in the near future?
Evolution of Loki
Loki observed her delighted reaction with an ever growing content smile, his shoulders slumping in relief as he had been uncertain at first whether or not his gesture would be to her liking. However, the sudden warm press of her lips had him tensing again just as quickly and for a moment he could do naught but stare somewhat confuddled before he snapped out of the short trance, dropping his gaze to the current page of the book that lay displayed.
"You are most welcome, Lady Sigyn," the god spoke quietly, almost timidly, and cursed himself for it, "Although if anyone is kind it is surely yourself. It is but a simple gift and frankly," he paused, a slight chuckle slipping from him, "I have not tested any of the methods so they might as well turn out useless."
"A gift given in true affection is always of great worth," she assured him sweetly, and patted his arm. It had not escaped her notice how he had stiffened when she kissed him, and she wondered if she should not have done so. "I am privileged to have your friendship, my dear prince."
It’s really disheartening when someone who basically copied your muse (headcanons, RPs, etc) is more popular than you. Everyone says to be the bigger man and let it go, but it’s really frustrating after a while.
So I’ve been going through footage for another project, and I noticed something about this scene that lends credence to the Loki-was-tortured meta. As The Other moves into Loki’s personal space, he flinches. Loki being Loki - he doesn’t do anything without planning it ahead of time and is almost always in complete control of not just his face but also his body - it’s an exaggerated blink but that speaks volumes when it comes to how uncomfortable Loki was in this scene, how on edge he was.
And yet another master class in acting/getting across a point of a character without saying a word from Tom Hiddleston.
