“We damn well can’t!” Harriet stood up, getting into Hallie’s face. “I lost so many people t’day an’ all y’all fuckin’ Auradonians won’t even lemme mourn me crew in peace! Yer like th’ fifth person comin’ fer me! Like, honestly, fuck off an’ leave me be! Don’t y’have a prince t’ bed so y’family can regain some semblance o’ social status or some shite?! Th’ only rude thing is th’ fact yer filthy redheaded arse thinks ‘s entitled t’ mah’ time ‘n energy!” Harriet sunk down again, burying her face in her hands as salty tears made their way down her face.
♔ - It was hard to render a Westergaard speechless. They were an articulate bunch. Harriet came pretty damn close; and Hallie was forced to take a moment of pause. Primarily because Halcyon didn’t know how to deal with emotions, and with people caring about one another. It was completely foreign to her. Halcyon took a deep breath and regained herself. “Well it’s only 12pm. I can’t be on my back all day. A princess has got to eat in between screwing their way up the social latter.” It was a joke, which she said flatly as if it were normal conversation. “I grew up with 12 siblings. I’ve heard it all.”
“Hey stop that. It’s like not cool.” Halcyon was only made to feel more uncomfortable by the other girl’s tears. With an unsure hand she pat Harriet’s shoulder. Kind of jealous the little pirate could be so honest with her emotions. Halcyon couldn’t even remember the last time she cried. When her own brother punched her in her face she laughed. She was twisted and didn’t do things properly. That included the ability to comfort others. Awkwardly she wrapped her dainty arms around Harriet. This is what she thought normal people did to assuage others. At least that’s what she thought. “You are so annoying. Annoying but a strong enough woman to get through this. Plus you are going to ruin your make-up.. But also did I mention you are kind of a mega-bitch?”
