how to practice the fruits of the Holy Spirit
“…but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
love.
tell someone you love them.
give someone a hug.
gift someone something, like a Bible, jewellery, etc.
help someone out, like washing the dishes, helping them cross the road, etc.
spend quality time with someone.
joy.
look for God through the rough, ordinary, etc. times.
make Godly habits, e.g., praying before you eat.
spending time with nature.
finding natural dopamine, e.g., eating.
smiling!
peace.
learning to make solutions and solve problems.
stay away from drama.
mind your business.
express gratitude.
learn to say no.
patience.
tolerate being uncomfortable. let that old man take his time crossing the road. let your friend ramble about something that excites them.
try to stay off your phone through these times.
become a good listener.
focus on your breathing. when you’re feeling rushed and impatient, slow yourself down and focus on your breathing patterns.
kindness.
treat others how you would like to be treated.
generosity.
volunteer in different ways.
devote yourself to a cause.
offer your expertise.
faithfulness.
submit your ways to God.
loyalty.
trust God at all times.
gentleness.
see the good in people.
strive to be kind and caring.
practice empathy and stop judging so quickly.
self-control.
pray for discipline and be strong-minded.
all in all, the fruits of the Holy Spirit will naturally come to you when you fully give your life to God, even if you don’t notice it!
