SLEEPING BEAUTY 1959, dir. Clyde Geronimi, Eric Larson, Wolfgang Reitherman, Les Clark
In a faraway land, long ago, there lived a King and his fair Queen. Many years they had longed for a child, and finally their wish was granted. A daughter was born, and they called her Aurora.

OLD DISNEY + GLITTERY, SPARKLY, AND SHINY
They say if you dream a thing more than once, it's sure to come true.
Sleeping Beauty (1959)
I wonder.
Behold, King Stefan's castle. And in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the Princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate. Why, 'tis the selfsame peasant maid who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed most wondrous fair, gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red, red rose. ageless sleep, she finds repose. The years roll by. But a hundred years, to a steadfast heart, are but a day. And now, the gates of a dungeon part and our prince is free to go his way. Off he rides on his noble steed,a valiant figure, straight and tall- to wake his love with "love's first kiss"...and prove that "true love" conquers all!

I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream. I know you, the gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam.

the lioness still concerns herself with things she should have gotten over a long time ago
do you ever become obsessed with a character and you just go "of fucking course its that one" at yourself because you are so incredibly predictable
I can't find the document I need for some reason.
really good type of joke that can arise from knowing a lot of systems
its kind of sad that bugs are so weak. it dishonors their noble biology. i guess this is is why crustaceans are so admirable. imagine for a moment, an unsquishable bug. such is the way of the crab
Rewatching the Disney classic animated films for Reasons and it really is funny how often they're just like, well some of the wildest shit you've ever heard in your life happened but we aren't animating that. Moving on!
Like these are absolutely groundbreaking works of art and labor and they achieved a ton so am not knocking them! I just appreciate the audacity. The dwarfs built Snow White a glass coffin and set her up in a special shrine in the woods. Use Your Imagination For This. Geppetto got eaten by a whale while he was looking for Pinocchio, we also have no idea how he managed that, ANYWAY he is in the whale now we're moving on we're already done with the questions about how he got in the goddamn whale. Maleficent's minions scoured the land for the missing princess. Not sure why they bothered when she was still cursed anyway but it does sound like a cool sequence. Which you will not be getting. Next!
