glassanimals: joe(right) and I(left) first met at school when we were 12. we didn’t know each other well. he was much cooler than me. but one day we realised we had both blagged tickets to the same music festival. we went together. sadly we lost each other in the crowd within minutes. at that point in my life i was extremely prepubescent. i was small and got lost and tangled in the savage sweaty crowd people. i couldn’t escape. i became incredibly thirsty. after an hour, i became weak and was on the brink of collapse. or worse, death. suddenly, the crowd parted in front of me. just as the red sea was parted by moses. and clearly though the channel, 50 meters in the distance, i see joe fist pumping toward the stage (he was extremely pubescent) off his nut on red bull. he turned around slowly and his eyes caught mine. a beam of light from the stage lit the path between us. our mouths opened. the music slowed as we ran towards each other in slow motion and embraced. in each of his hands was a bottle of water. ‘i got one for you’ he said. and i was saved. we have been best buds ever since. true story. photo by queen @poonehghana

Glass Animals is such a great band and so underrated like man, their music sounds like liquid and wind and sunny days and it feels like ure wearing a tropical shirt in the middle of the jungle while sipping on a drink from a coconut, someone is looking right through ur soul and being like “so thats what are ur biggest fears and desires huh? imma write a song bout that”
