“I appreciate the sentiment. Having lost so many members of my family you think you can handle the loss and then it comes.” She offered a small smile and then her face hardened, “I am sorry for the loss you felt.” Emilia nodded her head tracing the lettering on her book. “How can I help your investigation?”

“The children are well. They are with the governess now but they are here,” she said with a little momentary smile. “I had hoped to return this summer for a happier occasion, it has been entirely too long since I’ve visited.” Victoria sat in a chair across from her sister-in-law remembering the last time she was in these rooms. She sat in silence for a few moments searching for words that might help fill the space, but she knew well enough that no kind words could bring someone back or fill the space they left. “Neither do I I’m afraid.”  

“That is good to hear. The are the future of this house, this royal family.” She said sadly before shaking her head. “I had hoped my father would be here for the one day I marry. It seems we are both gravely disappointed.” She leaned over squeezing her sister in-laws hand gently. “We must trust each other. There is not many of us left, i’m afraid for whats to come if we are not united.”

Erika was not able to get an audience with the Crown Prince that evening. They offered for her to stay the night and to meet him first thing in the morning. As another kingdom with mysterious disappearances, she thought they would be perfect to contact. Perhaps that would help her receive some clues about her own prince’s disappearance. She was taking a quick stroll of the grounds when she came across the princess. Clearly upset, Erika took a step back from her to give her room. “Forgive me, Your Highness. i was simply walking by. I did not mean to disturb you. Are you alright?”

She looked up at the unfamiliar woman and sighed, “I am as alright as a girl is to be when her father perishes from unforeseen circumstances.” She offered a small smile, “Are you here to seek an audience with my brother? If you are i’m afraid he’s rather booked.”

Victoria was saddened to hear the news of her late husband’s father and with the timing of the loss of her own father, mourning one was inseparable from the other. She had always admired her father in law for he was the first one to insist she be given a greater role at court and much of what she learned about governing came from Prussia. She arrived for the funeral decorated in her stars for the Order of the Garter and the Order of the Black Eagle to honor both paternal figures in her life. 

“I know you are hurting so I will not take offense to that response.” Victoria said plainly walking further into the room. 

Emilia looked up and smiled at her sister in law sadly. “Its unfortunate we are again meeting like this.” She said sadly and closed her book in her lap. “My father is dead. The list of dead members of my family is increasing too much. How are my niece and nephew?” She asked almost looking around for them. She could use some happiness in what was her current depressing life. “I’m sorry Victoria I just don’t know what to do anymore.”

Emilia was mourning, and angered by everything. She had been semi used to loss and thought she had it handled. That was until her father died suddenly. She felt as if she was losing pieces of her slowly, her brother her last blood relative was now the king. She knew though it was only a matter of time before she lost him too. She sat outside dressed in all black thinking of what is to come of her family. Shall they all end up dead? maybe death wouldn't be so bad. they’d all be together again. Sitting outside the weather was colder than others would like but she sat out there on purpose. no one would bother her there, she sighed and looked up as she heard rustling behind her. “What?” She said harshly shutting the book she was pretending to read.

Charlotte wished more than anything that she could be in Portugal with Phillip, but her duties called her back to England and while she was glad to be with her family, she found herself dreading coming back to court appearances around the same English nobles she’d been around since her birth, the ones with their noses so high up in the air that it was difficult to think of their features without disdain for their lack of care. It was precisely this reason, that she was looking forward to meeting the Prussian Princess who she’d heard so much about and hoped she would get along with. Both of them being the youngest daughters of Kings, surely there would be things that they would have in common, right? 

Smiling as soon as the other princess was announced, Charlotte curtsied, surrounded by her ladies. “Welcome to England, Princess Emilia, it is so nice to finally make your acquaintance,”

She enjoyed traveling her father having made her feel as if she was a trophy being kept away from anything and everything made her crave the excitement of other countries. She had been to England before and she thought nothing of it but this time she was excited. Ships were always so taxing when it came to travel so when they reached the port she sighed in relief. Looking in her small mirror in her cabin on the ship she retouched her hair, her ladies flocking to her as she swatted them away. 

Once she looked like the princess she knew she was she made her way to the deck and slowly made her way to the castle. The trip from the docks to the palace was painless, once inside her ladies touched her up once more before she went into the court. She saw the young english princess and offered her a smile, “Thank you Princess Charlotte i’m glad your family was gracious enough to host me here in your wonderful country.”

“a pity,” he said, getting comfortable in his seat. he often grew bored while confined in his private rooms- the same people each day, no excitement. All he could do was play games of chess or read the new manuscripts that had found their way into his collection- both activities that he enjoyed, but grew bored of when it was all he could do for days at a time. “what are you reading then, anything of interest?”

“france like my home is rather boring in terms of events. Or did i just miss all the entertainment?” She laughed softly as he asked her and then closed her book, running her thumb along the spine of her book. “Robinson Cruscoe. Have you read it? My father thinks its a book I princess shouldn’t read.” Emilia shrugged, “I think thats why its so much more appealing.”

he had spent the better part of the last few days in his private chambers- recent events at the court had exhausted him and took a toll on his well being, bringing on fits of syncope- but he was finally beginning to feel back to normal, or at least as normal as he ever was. “so what have i missed?” he asked, taking a seat in one of the rooms of the palace. “there must be some new story or such.”

occasionally she left Prussia but she rarely enjoyed it when she did. Her father had sent her to france, she wasn’t too upset about that. She was able to get Parisian chocolate amongst other things she enjoyed from this country. She had made it to the palace found herself a comfortable room to sit in while she read some of her book. And sat down and she grimaced before closing it rather abruptly, “nothing that I know of or that might be of any importance to me.” She blushed her curly hair from her face, “I’m not the woman to ask though i’m afraid.”

“And that,” she withdrew her sword, putting it in the holder to her side, “is why you don’t underestimate not only me but women in general,” she said, dusting off her gown as she noticed a pair of eyes on her and smiled softly. “Enjoy the show,” she chuckled, nearing them, “I usually charge people to see that so I hope you enjoyed it”

Emilia enjoyed watching others spar, she was handy with a sword her brothers made sure she was. However she enjoyed watching people around her fight while she calculated almost the moves she would need to make. She was lost in thought when she heard a voice and looked up from the ground, “Hmm? Well I suppose you could say that.”

Ive got bits and pieces of her bio i have to flush out but shes the youngest Hohenzollern.

 She’s always had everything she could possibly want although she has an interestinf relationship with her father the king. He tends to have little to no interaction with her because she reminds him to much of her mother

shes the closest in terms of her siblings with her oldest brother.

Shes been raised to become the eventual queen of a country so shes very goal oriented.

She is extremely blunt.
