The Girl Who's Always in the Back Seat
To the Girl who is always seating in the back seat,
You might be wondering why you always have to ride the back seat. This mainly because you are the only single person in your circle of friends, the one who doesn’t have a love life, an introvert or someone who chooses to wait for the right guy to come.
There are times that you might be asking yourself, am I not good enough? Am I that ugly? Fat? Good for nothing? Taken for granted? Or the one who is one of the boys and always on the friend zone? There will be nights that you cry yourself to sleep because you have so many questions running inside your head and don’t know the answers. Nights when all you feel is that you’re alone. Moments when you really want or need someone to talk to but all of your friends are busy with their own lives and love lives. Moments that you want to share with someone special but you have no one.
Let me tell you this, I too am experiencing the same thing. There are times that I feel like I’m single for long enough that I sometimes I feel like I don’t know the feeling of being in love and being loved.
But God is always reminding me that He wants me to wait. To wait for the Godly man that He wants me to be with. The man that I will serve God with. The man who God will give for us to fulfill the greater purpose of our lives.
He is not only preparing the man for me, but also He is preparing me. So for us women who are still waiting, let’s put our faith in God. He is in control of everything. He know when to give us what/who. He has His own timeline. And that timeline is the perfect time!
Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He has made everything beautiful in His time.
Let’s wait actively. Let’s serve God in every way possible that we can. Let’s be used by Him. Let’s know Him more for if we know Him more, we will know how to love our future husband right.
There is nothing wrong with you if you are the girl who is always in the back seat. But be glad that God is preparing you for something big! He prepares you to be the woman/wife your Godly husband deserves.
Proverbs 31
10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
So when the time comes that you will feel down again and find yourself third-wheeling, tell yourself, “it’s fine. God had instored the best for me.”
