Final brochure
Logo has been redrawn by hand to be included in the brochure
banner final.
4th item final
It looks quite bright because my poster is in CMYK mode but this is the final poster for my project (In between process is in my physical workbook)
brochure 2nd page illustration page polished up. From grey page I have made it into more colorful page. Instead of using just blue I have added other colours as well to show diversity.
lolly box printed out and put into the box.
The white one is Initial 4th item when the character wasn’t sorted out.
Initially I was planning to have two candy box small & large one to show diversity but Donald said there is no need to..!
poster printed and stuck onto the wall in the row
After sorting out drawing style I was able to create more monsters that looked different. I have made tall one, big one, small one, 5 eyed one, sad looking one, sharp looking one, 3 legged, injured one, bright looking one etc to make a contrast.
Artist model: illustration for peanuts movie (Peanut style)
First of all I’ve got lost while I was drawing monsters. The lines were really thin therefore It somehow overlapped with my type face as well. I had to make people look at the monster first so I wanted monster to be bold.
but when I made it bold It didn’t look right either. After I saw Peanut movie poster I’ve tried to incorporate it into my design because their coloring technique were quite quirky and also their drawing style was quite approachable for audience as well.
wallpaper poster developed
mockup that I have made on photoshop to show on Friday. I am planning to play around with the real wallpaper and make photoshoot for it soon.
I have been searching around Wellington to get the right wallpaper for my project. On Tuesday I’ve got a comment from one of my classmate saying that the wallpaper pattern looks girly / feminine therefore it kind of puts off men and doesn’t portray my idea of equality which was true. SO in this process of searching for the wallpaper I had to search for the wallpaper which wasn’t too kiddy (Like Disney character wallpaper, or something that is obviously too kiddy) and which wasn’t too feminine or masculine either.
I chose to get a sample from Resene (Blue monster wallpaper), the reason behind it was because pink one looks too feminine but in the other hand blue one had orange and green mixed together which kind of suits better for my project (instead of having hot pink, pink, orange and green that puts some people off).
I have chosen monster wallpaper because it shows various of characters in it and it kind of portrays how people all look different and they have different skin color different outlook but still they are human (the same). I chose this because it looked fun and I believe inclusive design is about celebrating with people not emphasizing about others but to actually celebrate and really care about them.
I have ordered some samples and it should arrive tomorrow or earlier next Monday.
Here are two posters and the speaker's list made in weekend and printed on Monday. I have decided to carry on with the braille & the wallpaper pattern idea because braille 'can you read this?' portrays the seriousness and awareness of including others and the wall paper pattern 'equality implies understanding individuality' portrays that everyone is different but they all should be included in the fun part as well. I have contrasted two posters in different mood just to see what one communicates better.
Process of making two posters for the interim.
