I know I’m “only” 20 but the RP world often makes me feel so incredibly old with all these 14&15 year olds and such. So…how about, reblog if you’re a roleplayer and you’re 20+.
Reblog if it is okay if I make fanart of your OCs
Knock yourself out, there’s plenty to choose from.
I actually find this information REALLY HELPFUL when I visit someone else’s gallery and like their OCs. Not everyone is comfortable with fanart and few artists post whether or not they are.
Nowhere To Run | Stegosaurus Rex
She raised her eyebrows to the heavens when the Gameboy was actually turned on. Moreover, there seemed to be nothing wrong with the graphics of the title screen or the music; no missing pixels in the colorful letters, no tinny, breaking noises in the theme music.
“Either you’re just as incredible as the developers of that disease that’s eaten up this world, or you have a fucking ridiculous amount of luck.” She muttered to the Gameboy, her eye practically glued to the screen as she held the device with both hands. She licked her lips and then grinned ear to ear, fascinated and rather amused as she contemplated the luck that had kept this little machine intact, and had led her to find it. What were the chances that one would entertain themselves with a Gameboy in the middle of a zombie apocalypse? She had never been more than mildly interested in games, but the sheer incredulity of the situation was enough to draw her in. “Movies taught me to never trust objects that are too lucky, you see.” She mused, not minding that she was talking to something inanimate. She talked to herself now and then and moreso when she was excited, not to mention that the surreal experience she was having was spurring on her imagination. “Y’know, the usual trope, the main character finds a vintage object that’s too pristine for the time it’s spent and it turns out to be cursed. The character tries to destroy the object, fails, the curse kills them, the object later washes up in some shore to draw in new victims, yadda yadda yadda, never ending hell for everyone included. It’s a stupid plot, but well, all those zombie movies back then had stupid plots too. And now see how legit they all were.” She gazed at the starting screen for another moment before letting out a light chuckle. “I’m already living in a never ending hell. It’s fun. Let’s see who comes out alive if you do turn out to be possessed, hmm?” She leaned against the wall behind her, settling her legs more comfortably on the floor. Still smiling at the device, she pressed the Start button.
What did she say?
Disease. Eaten up this world. Her words were like acid that dripped into his retina, bringing his attention away from his renewed existence and to his PLAYER. He had yet to show her his true appearance, but had enough time to assess her. She looked like something of a pirate … playtime, he supposed? No, no, she looked older than a child … then again, he wasn't sure how big children could become and still be deemed as something that recently fell out of their mother's womb. He couldn't see much of her surroundings, but it still felt as though something was … off. He was used to hearing the constant murmur of electricity in the air, signals of information threading along, but it was just so … silent. Unsettling. It would be more difficult to torment her if there was no electrical device nearby that he could travel to. No interfering with the signal on her television, changing lighthearted comedies into scenes of her own death. No sending emails of blackmail to friends and family … That cut out a lot of the fun, but he could always think of something else. He had all the time in the world to prick and maim her mind.
He listened to her, only letting the clear 8bit game music out of the handheld's speakers. The music stopped in time, however, as he heard her mention of cursed objects. It wouldn't have been such an irritating, surprising thing to hear if she wasn't so on the dot. Irony at its fucking finest. And zombies? What did she mean by those? The girl had seen too many horror movies, he surmised, ending it at that.
Who comes out alive? Oh. This was going to be fun, at least.
The title screen dissolved, his elation returning as she pressed the button that sealed her fate. His world came into fruition, the rolling expanse of a downtown slum in all the glory of early game graphics as it zoomed into view of a small building that oozed green slime between its cracks.
AND STAY THE FUCK OUT!
Finally, he had appeared. He hated these sort of game openings, especially when he was sloshed and thrown unceremoniously into a dumpster by steroid pumped npcs. His long legs stuck out of the garbage, a textbox appearing below that merely said, “. . .” After a few more seconds, as GLOWING COCKROACHES scattered out of the dumpster, he pulled himself out, his large eyeball head squinting underneath the peel of a banana.
"I HATE THAT YOU HAD TO SEE ME LIKE THIS, PLAYER."
He brushed off his shoulders, an unyielding stare focused on the girl. He then pointed below at the still scrolling text, his sprite slightly bouncing in time to the beat of the game's soundtrack. At the very end, it showed a list of letters and symbols.
"WELL. LET'S START WITH INTRODUCTIONS. I'M PRINZ ATOM, THE HERO OF THIS GAME. AND YOU WOULD BE?"
