Progress! 😄🤳🏼 I’ve been working on this piece for just over a month (36” x 48”) in oil. It has been a roller coaster of emotions, stages and changes👉🏻(swipe)🦶🏻. I almost always follow my initial sketch exactly. Instead I’m trying something new by doing smaller studies of it to play around with placement and perspectives before going for it on the big one. we spent a lot of our time in Nürnberg focusing solely on the history. It was a very important part of our journey that we thoughtfully planned out to see, learn, and experience..even though others don’t see it “honeymoon” like. To us it is a once in a lifetime experience in which we feel very lucky to have witnessed such monuments, some which the country is still considering demolishing. 👩🏻‍🎨✨“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” - Albert Einstein ✨💡It has also been said that in the process of creating, we find and lose ourself at the same time. 🌞🌱 . In the process of teaching, I sometimes find my students are lost so I need to make adjustments or reteach to get them back at it and on the right track. There are days where my heart is so full it could burst, and then there are other days I question parts of my lesson, and reflect on where I can improve. 🙋🏻‍♀️ any other teachers relate to this?! . But I do it all because I care so much about improving the lives of my students and their experience in the art room... .
