the lore gremlin that lives in the recesses of my consciousness, banging on the metaphysical door to my brain: dreamxd gave the revive book to c!schlatt to spice things up in the dream smp à la “ryuk death note” style to cause more chaos in his world because he was bored. he knew schlatt would eventually need dream’s help and trade it with him. drawing c!dream away from the dream team in his obsession with it and causing them to turn on him as he grew more consumed with power and being in control, dreamxd swooped in and could now easily access c!george, keeping him in his constant state of a waking dream, in dreamxd’s dreamscape. please, please can anyone hear m-

time for my controversial take: c!wilbur let c!schlatt kill c!tubbo at the festival even though he could’ve called for c!techno to fight back or stop it because he wanted to make schlatt look horrible - not that he needed any help looking like the biggest villain ever BUT. tubbo’s death undoubtedly was the last straw for c!quackity to doubt his president and see that he was more brutal and harsh than he expected and he started to turn against him then. there’s a lot to be said about how wilbur probably knew schlatt’s paranoia about tubbo was mounting and potentially used it against him. sweaterduo mindgames and all that, y’know.

c!sweaterduo has so much history and potential that it makes me viscerally desperate for some kind of canon acknowledgement from cc!sweaterduo. i know i’ll never get it but imagine. the fact that c!schlatt acts like he knows c!wilbur but c!wilbur pretends they’re strangers. there’s just some weird kind of hurt and awkwardness between them that doesn’t come from not knowing each other. 

it has so much “childhood friends that had a huge falling out and never recovered”. c!wilbur is a prideful man constantly hungering authority and c!schlatt is the first domino to his complete collapse. c!wilbur was put together until c!schlatt took the first swing. you could argue that it was solely because of the exile and the formation of pogtopia that left c!wilbur a shell of a man and vengeful, but the seeds were already always there. it’s evident in quackity’s lore and their conversation before the election. c!wilbur cannot help but be his real self under the diplomacy and the charismatic grin when c!schlatt is involved!

Not soulmates but it always had to be them and they weren't destined to be together but they were doomed to be but also it took everything for them to get here and also it was never supposed to happen but also it always was and had to happen this way. Hope this helps
