An Apology
We at Mojang try to keep our translations as accurate as possible, but recently, a small mistranslation has slipped through the cracks.
We are a Swedish dev team, after all, so miscommunications sometimes occur with our English-speaking members!
With that in mind, here are the emergency patch notes for the changes coming in the next update:
Renamed cherry trees to testicle trees
the cherry blossom biome looks bad *now*, but that's pretty much how all of the new woods they've added recently have started anyway. mangrove started off as "jungle but a slightly different color" and now its a beautiful dark red. keep in mind dev tweets like this are pretty much always working concepts and not what the final biome will look like
that's a fair point actually

THIS IS ABOUT TO BE A NEW VANILLA FEATURE
I wasn’t gonna reblog, but this poor person’s eyes. They scream of pain and desperation.
Modpacks be like
Minecraft should completely rework villages. They're not hominids anymore, they're animate bipedal constructs made from clay or bronze wandering the ancient overgrown ruins of their former farming hamlets. The villagers are gardening robots, still tilling their fields after untold centuries of disrepair.
I don't like that villages are seen as loot sources, or objects of plunder. There is something distantly colonial about how the game incentivises you to ransack their homes, or kidnap and re-home them.
Villagers should be machines, or constructs. They can be crafted, fitted with clockwork hearts of gold and quartz and given tasks befitting their roles. Maybe they appreciate it when you clear the vines off their homes, or re-pave the roads. The relationship should be one of mutual cultivation.
Repaired villagers should fix each other, bring you gifts of flowers and seeds and feathers. The iron guardians should be far more dangerous, fiercely protective of what meager loot the ruined villages possess.
This one checks out and it’s incredible.

Notecard drawings from school! Landscapes and structures (mostly) are my strongsuit, but I'm slowly chipping away at these. I made some changes to the last one's drawing cause I didn't like how little trees there were and I did it without reference, more so focusing on the blend between lavender and barley fields
Reblogs appreciated!
The bedroom I built in my survival/creative world! My rule was that I can only use items I have access to, and I have a Nether portal so hellbark was on the building menu!
I personally enjoy survival/creative where you main survival but you're allowed to build in creative with resources you have access to.
Mods are in the tags!
I open a chest. I close the chest. I open another chest. I close it. I open another chest. I close it again. I open it one last time???? I close it and open another chest.
I know it's buildtober now but I can't crank out builds that fast so I'll probably pick out a few and do them occasionally, and I'll have to get some screenshots of my modded survival for yall in the queue. (The buildtober builds will be in my survival world as I think it's more fun)
Anyone have good buildtober theme lists? Pls no ones that are like "orange" as my brain can't do just colour ones.
I managed to install Quark (that's it for now, just making sure I don't push my laptop too far since I don't have a proper PC anymore (it was 11 years old, there is a reason) so yeah, there's that) and Quark has filters. So I built my classic wall design and slapped the filter I liked the most over it.
And here's the version without an edit! I never took a screenshot of the non-filtered version without the second build happening off to the left, so I hopped on and quickly grabbed it.
