Okay, so
It takes place in an alternate timeline where it was Kanako who has fallen down first instead of Chujin
Let's just assume she was the victim of the Integrity human and Dalv wasn't able to save her in time, but Kanako, being a boss monster, her soul basically refuse to let her die and basically gotten her into the coma state
Dalv managed to get Kanako away from the human and ran away, and managed to find the Ketsukane family through the townspeople.
Ceroba and Chujin panicked and brought her immediately to Alphys, and well, the ONLY feasible way right now is to inject her with DT. Theoretically speaking her body only have enough DT to keep her body alive and not her consciousness.
So they injected it onto Kanako and she woke up! But then she starts to melt down immediately and now she had to be put away in the True Lab.
Weeks go by and no progress was made to revert Kanako back, Ceroba was devastated and decided that if she cannot save her daughter, then at the very least, she can share her pain so she wouldn't feel alone.
Chujin was heavily against this, but once her mind is set, she won't go back, as Ceroba sneaked into the True Lab injected the syringe onto herself and begin to comfort Kanako that she will always be there for her.
By the time Chujin realized what happened, it's already too late, he tried to separate the two but then he ended up being stuck, eventually melt down with them.
