I didn’t say you were having second thoughts! I was just asking if you were nervous. Big event’s tend to do that to people. Merlin knows I would be, no matter how much I loved whomever I married. But it’s good to know that you’re not. How is Lysander holding up?

In the Dark of the Full Moon || Open

Scorpius crept through the darkness of the woods, cursing his platinum blond hair for its tendency to reflect the pale light of the moon. His hand grasped a spray of belladonna blossoms, which he absolutely had to dry and preserve before the moon set. His grandfather had been writing him more and more frequently as he aged, and at greater and greater length concerning his obsession with finding a cure for lycanthropy. He was convinced that belladonna was a key ingredient, but it was exceedingly rare outside of the forbidden forest, so Scorpius had decided to pluck some up to send to Lucius. 

But Belladonna had to be gathered by full moonlight - that was the only time it was visible - so Scorpius had had to act like a Gryffindor and venture into the dangerous forest on the night of the full moon, when it would be crawling with werewolves and who knew what else.

That’s not true, he scolded himself sharply. Those are just stories they tell the students to keep them from getting lost in here. They would never let dangerous dark creatures like that to lurk around in the woods like this. Still, he wished the black hood on his cloak did a better job of covering up his white fringe. 

Scorpius froze, though, when he heard the crack of a twig behind him. He gripped his wand in a trembling hand and whipped around, his cloak soaring through the air behind him. “Who’s there?” he hissed.

Theon knew he shouldn't be out this late, not on a night like this at least, but he'd lost track of time out at the cemetery. And with Hogwarts anti-apperation wards up he couldn't get any further than Hogsmeade. He grumbled and threw up his hood. He didn't want to be seen by anyone, lest they start asking questions Theon didn't have answers to. He'd made it to the path outside of the village that led to the school when he saw a small huddle of people walking towards him. Unwilling to find out who they were Theon slipped quietly into the trees, picking his way as quietly as he could through the trees.

He'd never had a very good sense of direction, even worse so in the gloom of the forest and soon lost sight of the path, and the school. He knew if he kept heading straight he'd pop out eventually. The school wasn't that hard to find. The only issues he was having were his head being full of the tales about werewolves and vampires roaming in the dark. He shudder. Children's tales. That's what he told himself until he heard the unmistakable sound of footsteps.

He froze, turning to locate the source before the source located him. He moved forward and a twig snapped beneath his shoe. Stifling a curse he heard a male voice call out. Well, at least it wasn't a werewolf. Last he checked they couldn't talk. Emboldening his courage, which admittedly had floundered for a moment, Theon stepped towards the voice."Theon Blustrode. Who are you?" He couldn't see the person yet but as soon as they spoke up again he would find them. Perhaps they knew how to get out of this forest better than he did.

I’ll give him a few days to come out, and then I guess I’m going to be breaking my own heart. Will you stay with me tonight? I’m tired of being alone.

That sounds like a very good idea. And...yeah. I'll stay with you tonight.

You know what reputation. 

Tibalt the whore. Tibalt the slut.

Ah. Then change it. You have been changing it these past few months. And people who still think you're a slut are a whore should be hexed. Simple as that. You are who you want to be, but you actions will define who you are to the rest of the world, despite what you try to tell them.

This is exactly why I didn’t want to talk about this. 

How can you say that? A quitter? I’m not happy but I have to stay in this situation because if I don’t I’m a quitter? As for being a cheater…well, that would just fit right along with my reputation, wouldn’t it?

Well, we're talking about it.

You took that wrong. I'm not saying you're a quitter if you get out of the relationship, I'm saying you're a quitter if you get out of it by cheating. Finding the quickest way out is not always the right way to do things. What reputation Ti?

Well maybe I wasn’t made to be loved like that.

I’m not happy, Theon. So what am I supposed to do? I’ve talked to him about it over and over again and nothing changes. 

[theon-bulstrode]

No. Maybe not. 

Deal with it. Come to terms with it? It sucks. I know. It sucks to sit there and watch that happen and have to deal with those feelings. But by giving up, but going out with what's his face you're not only a quitter but a cheater too. Ti...I know it's hard, but sometimes...sometimes you've got to adapt and live a little differently for those we love, even if it hurts for a while.

Because I don’t know how much longer I can do this, Theon. 

Do you have any idea how many nights I spend alone? Do you have any idea what it’s like to ache at the end of the day after never seeing Lysander and knowing that he doesn’t feel the same way, and that he probably didn’t even notice it’s been days since he’s seen me? Can you imagine what it’s like to love someone with ever part of you and know, without a doubt, that they don’t love you as much as you love them?

But that doesn't mean you should give up on him like this. For someone like...what's his face. Lysander lovers you Ti, he just goes about it in different ways than what we might be accustomed to. That's all. That doesn't me he doesn't love you.
