“Lovely. As it should be. Agnés is an angel,” Eloise said, a laugh escaping her lips. “I’ll try my best, your highness…but I’m not exactly sure of his whereabouts. However, Teddy might know. I can ask him, if you’d like.” Eloise typically didn’t stick her nose in where it didn’t belong, but she couldn’t help but be curious.

“She is quite the angel hopefully my own dog will grow to be as well behaved as she is,” Scarlet mused without thinking much to admitting to the fact that Antonio had given her a puppy. “Oh no, it’s fine. I’m sure he’s around somewhere. If I really needed him all I have to do is pretend to fall.”

Antonio rolled his eyes lightly, while a small smile grew on his lips before shaking his head at the young princess. “No. I just brought her over here to show you how pretty she is, she’s honestly someone else’s dog but they let me borrow her.” He tried to keep his voice serious, but he knew he failed the moment his smile got bigger.  “Also, I didn’t get you a puppy, I found you a puppy on my way here. Someone just abandoned her in an alleyway, and I thought she could use a better family.” The brunette answered, as a sigh escaped his lips. A brow raised as she kissed his cheek, while dark hues studied her for a moment. “It’s nothing, honestly. I just thought you’ll appreciate her more than anyone. And I know you would give her the best life, she deserves it honestly. When did I agree to be a pet dad or anything?” The male questioned, while lightly petting the puppy’s head.

“No need to be an asshole,” She pointed out pouting dramatically as she decided to scoop the puppy from his arms in order to hold her close to her own body as she openly swooned over the cute ball of fur in her arms. “How could anyone abandon a face like this?” She asked Antonio as she turned her head in order to look at him. She knew all too well what it was like to be abandoned herself, but for someone to decide to do that to the innocent dog in her arms seemed unfathomable to the princess. “You agreed to be a dog dad with me when you were the one to bring her. Honestly you’re going to be around her just as much as I am anyways, you should have some claim to her,” Scarlet settled on sitting on her bed in order to let the tiny ball run around the bed and explore the area, “Can you say no to either of us though?”

Antonio moved to place his phone back in his pocket, before he was adjusting his grip on the tiny ball of moving fluff. A ball of fluff that he found sitting in a box in an alley all by her lonesome, which cause the bodyguard to stop in his tracks and decide to bring her to where he was going. He was angry that someone just left her there like she meant nothing, an anger that built the longer he was spending time with her, however there was at the end of the tunnel and caused a slight smile to appear on his lips. The brunette knew the princess would love to have a dog, and he couldn’t think of anyone better than her to care for the puppy in his arms. Antonio rolled his eyes when Scarlet’s words hit his ears, before he was moving off the wall to stand in front of the shorter royal. “I’m not empty handed, maybe I should’ve just brought you a teddy bear,  and kept this sweetheart to myself.”

The moment that Scarlet’s eyes fell on the little ball of fluff in his arms she could feel herself already completely in love with the puppy. “You got me a puppy?” She asked him in disbelief as she leaned down in order to rub the little dog between her ears. “Aren’t you just the most beautiful little girl in the whole wide world?” the princess asked her even if she knew that it was silly to talk to the dog, but she didn’t hold back. She stood up in order to press a quick kiss to her body guard’s cheek, “Thank you, Antonio. I promise to give her the absolute best life and you’re going to help me raise her.”

Scarlet was filled with impatience as she decided to see if her bodyguard was full of himself or if he did have a surprise for her. She knew that there was a chance that he was trying to trick her into opening the door, but she knew that she had no other choice. The princess slowly opened the door as she poked her head around the piece of wood, “If you’re empty handed I’m firing you.”

Antonio: I assure you, your chances of being shot are slim to none. Besides, I'll be taking the bullet for you.

Antonio: That doesn't mean it has to be a dog. Maybe it's something else. You'll never find out until you open the door, Scar.

Scarlet: You'll only be taking a bullet if I can't shove you out of the way fast enough.

Scarlet: But now you'll get the satisfaction of me letting you in and who knows if you really have a surprise for me.

Antonio: That yet is what worries me.

Antonio: Who said anything about a dog? I just said it was a fluffy golden curled gift. That doesn't even hint at it being a living thing.

Scarlet: my body guard is kind of a badass, I'm not too worried about my chances.

Scarlet: SHE wears a bow better than you. It's either a dog or a child and no one in their right mind would bring me a child.

Antonio: But true.

Antonio: I think that's part of the job description. Pretty sure I read about it when I became your bodyguard.

Antonio: I have something cuter, and she looks better in a bow than I do.

Scarlet: Excuse me I'm a way better charge than Aesir is! I haven't been shot yet.

Scarlet:....I swear if you don't have a dog in your arms this very moment, Tonio, I'm getting a new body guard.

Antonio: Oh, is that you? Have I been watching the wrong person since I started?

Antonio: Huh, maybe it's just Teddy standing there instead.

Antonio: Also, it's better than a bear but both do wear bows.

Scarlet: wow, rude.

Scarlet: Teddy is too busy questioning his life choices to be outside my door right now.

Scarlet: I swear if you're out in the hall wearing a bow I'm giving you a raise.

Antonio: Guess who just arrive in town.

Antonio: I say just arrived, but I've been around and making sure you haven't gotten into something or another.

Antonio: However, you should open your door so I can give you a fluffy gift I found on my way to the castle.

Scarlet: I don't know what you're talking about I'm a sweet angel who never causes anyone problems ever.

Scarlet: If I open the door and it's just a teddy bear I'm going to be sorely disappointed I hope you know.

A laugh escaped Eloise’s lips. “You know I’d never get rid of Agnés. I think I may love her more than I love Teddy…don’t tell him I said that,” she teased. Her dog was essentially her child at this point. “Well, let me know if you do need anything. That’s what I’m here for.” Although she had a lot on her plate, she liked to be busy and was always willing to add more to her to-do list. 

“I think that we all love Agnes more than Teddy so your secret is safe with me,” Scarlet assured her with a whisper. “The only thing that I could think of is to warn me where Antonio is but considering I swear he’s part ninja that would require you to be able to locate him at all. I’ll just have to keep my own eyes peeled.”

scarlet: there's a bakery in town I've snuck off too a few time.

Eloise was relieved to see she ran into Scarlet and not someone she was unacquainted with. That made the situation a bit less awkward. “I’m still terribly sorry, your highness,” she said, quickly taking her book and tucking it under her arm. “I should have been paying more attention.” Elle preferred to keep to herself, and the last thing she wanted to do was get in anyone’s way. “Anyway, how are you today? Is there anything I can do for you?”

“There’s no reason to be sorry unless you’re going to tell me you got rid of Agnes and then you have a reason to apologize to me,” She assured her. Scarlet couldn’t help but wonder if she would ever adjust to the fact that she had people that answered to her despite being raised as a princess. “Honestly I’m sure that you have more going on than to fret about me. Surely my sister needs you for something.”

Reading was one of Eloise’s favorite hobbies, so she could often be seen with a good book in her hands or tucked under her arm. Since she had recently arrived, she had been doing a lot of exploring as an attempt to familiarize herself with her new surroundings. As she was walking, she was attempting to finish the last few pages of the latest book she was reading, which caused her to be rather distracted. Because of that, she wasn’t all that surprised when she had bumped into someone. “Je suis vraiment désolé!” She said apologetically, slipping into her native tongue out of habit. “Are you alright?”

Scarlet couldn’t help herself but to feel as if she was frustrated with everything going on, but she was trying to keep herself from showing it. She was on her way to find either Claudia or Aesir, one of the two people that tended to keep her calm. She hadn’t been expecting to come face to face with Eloise though until the woman was right there. “No need to apologize,” the princess assured her as she did her best to offer her a smile, “I’m sure the book you’re reading is fascinating.”

“That’s got to be the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.” He teased, his hand reaching out and taking another marshmallow, though this one ended up skewered on the end of a stick and thrust into the fire to toast. Aesir watched it for a few moments, turning it rotisserie style in the fire, once it was cooked to his liking, he removed it and stuffed it into his mouth, humming contently. 

“So, I heard that mother and father are planning on sending Teddy over.”

“I’ve said plenty of nice things to you. I mean how many times have I told you what an incredible brother you are?” She asked curiously not hiding the eye roll as she slumped back into her chair as she kept an eye on his face. “But if you need assurance of how amazing I think you are I could always write you a book to keep beside your bed. Of course it’s going to include the fact that I’m better at skating than you are, but I have to have myself in it somewhere.” She raised her eyebrows looking over at him, “What are you thinking about that?”
