That's how you do it.
This is what I used to love about Honda, the way their things just last. The car not only ages well mechanically, but the design is still clean, uncluttered, and simple. A lot of car companies forget that sometimes their cars won't be forgotten, whether it be for better or for worse.
The new Accords feature gaudy reflectors next to the tail lamps as part of the mid-cycle refresh. They're there to mimic the tail light assemblies on the Japanese-market Honda Inspires, but all I see is fail. The lights on the trunk lid of the Inspire are actual, working assemblies that lie flush with the trunk whereas the reflectors on the North American Accord are just tacked on bits. In twenty years, would you be able to sleep at night knowing that you made such an awful decision and are reminded of it on the road every day? I probably wouldn't.
