Hi hi, we’re currently a singlet but have been trying willomancy on and off for a while,, we wanna be plural very badly but have a hard time being consistent and therefore getting results,, any tips/help with that?
So, it's really a lot of manifesting/fake-it-til-you-make-it, here's a step-by-step on how I did it, albiet unintentionally...
Notes: Fictives are easier to latch to, in our experience. My childhood imaginary friends that weren't fictfolk never really took, but the *moment* I started acting like the cast of Undertale was in my house.... Bam! Explosive internal experience, lmfao. Regardless, focus on what you think will work best, whether it's fictfolk or people you made up yourself!
Attribute identities to your headmates. Either fictional, factional, or brain-made! Things like names, pronouns, orientation, gender, and other base external experiences you can easily quickly write down!
Archive what you know, use an app like PluralKit, Simply Plural(though it will be going down soon), pronouns.cc, or other apps! As a starter system, though, you might be able to get away with things such as notepads, notebooks, spreadsheets, etc, without as many numbers to start out filling such things with!
Talk to your headmates, even if they aren't there yet! Talk back to yourself "as" them, either vocally, internally, or online! Eventually, you might start to feel a separation from those voices and your own!
Pretending to switch is a good way to get towards actual switching! As a kid, I would act like my fictives would "possess" me, and it reached a point where I actually felt as though my body actually was out of my control, and that the fictive had "stepped in" and took control.
As for staying consistent with this... Keep things regarding your headmates, your willomancy, etc, in a place that is safe, but also easy for you to keep track of and see in your day-to-day life! Attribute things that will remind you of your headmates, and what it's taking to create them! Try to turn usual internal monologues into internal conversation! Keep whatever app or website you're tracking with open or visible at most times, especially! It'll help keep you reminded!
That's about all I've got for now, but I'll add to this or make more posts about other tips as I think of them or other people ask for them!
