PS in Botswana metal heads are called Marok, and lady metalheads call themselves Queens and give themselves badass nicknames like Phoenix Death Serpent.

Here is the strip I was working on while we were together this week.

You saw it in various tages and here it is about an hour or so from being finished. The last two pages still need some solid black and some inking

This comic was made by request from a National Treasure named MK Czerwiec, aka “Comics Nurse”

MK Czerwiec RN, MA is a nurse who uses comics to contemplate the complexities of illness and caregiving.

She is the Artist-in-Residence at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and a Senior Fellow of the George Washington School of Nursing Center for Health Policy & Media Engagement. MK has been making comics under the pseudonym Comic Nurse since 2000. She co-runs GraphicMedicine.org, a website devoted to the intersection of comics and health.

Harper has been obsessed with everything Frida lately so we decided to do a little Frida Kahlo art project for her birthday last week! 

Harper’s says “This is Art” just in case you weren’t sure what she was going for there!

Someone left a phone number on the side of the break room table. The sticky note ended up on the white board with a circle around it, “No Flirting!!!” If you work here you must also be incapable of falling in love. The number was for facilities management.
